I'm currently Solaris network were have we have the home directory store Sun 4500 I think (new to this)but when we come to setting up Microsoft Windows XP Pro when coming log in with user details come to mappping users home directory it come back with admin area not there’s.

Explorer crashes when downloading anything?

Has anyone had this problem. FTP sites when downloading any file Explorer crashes and closes the window. I cannot even download software, freeware or shareware, no wave files, or bmps. Thanks in advance for any help.

WIN 2000 PRO RESTARTS AFTER STARTUP

WHEN I TURN THE COMPUTER ON IT GOES PAST THE WIN 2000 PRO SCREEN THEN A BLUE SCREEN COMES ON FOR A FEW SECONDS AND THEN MY COMPUTER RESTARTS. I'VE TRIED SAFE MODE, VGA MODE, LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION, AND SO ON.

Repair file (folder) associations!

I've tried to customize my Windows2003 in a way I have new icons for all standard desktop icons. I also tried to modify the icon associated with a folder. Seems there are 2 types of folder: a folder and a datafolder.

File sharing through VPN

Hi, I'm trying to set up a VPN and am having some problems. I have set up the server and client and they connect fine. The problem is that neither side can see the other in the network places. They both have the same workgroup name and I've refreshed enough, but they just don't see each other.

Hi, I have installed a game under a user with Admin. privilege. The user with limited account cannot run the program unless he right click on the icon and select Run As. . I remember setting up the Administrator to keep the files private.
