NeedForSpeed 1 problems under XP

I have some weird problems with the 1995 Need For Speed. It seems that the original installer program doesn't work under Xp, for some reason, and gives error messages. Now, I copied all the program files to hard disk and got a GAMEDATA/CONFIG/PATHS.

I have downloaded the updates for this and done all the things the microsoft webpage says. but i still get the lovsan and blaster virus that norton and avg get rid of for me. Am I leaving something out that needs to be done to stop this virus from getting thru.

Checked my Yahoo mail this morning and got a pleasant surprise: Increased storage capacity – from your current level to 100MB Increase in individual message send/receive size from 3MB to 10MB An improved layout that’s even easier to use Must say that this is quite a nice change from 6mb storage space.

Norton Ghost and DVD burner problem

When I try to use Norton Ghost 2003 to image c: drive to DVD+RW plextor external drive with USB port, it just refuses to do it, even though the software does have an option to image to USB drive. I contacted Plextor and they claim that probably Norton Ghost does not support USB drives.

If i have a Mapped drive or just use \\computername\C$ windows XP pro sp1 for an EXE file (maybe others) it comes up with a File Download like i would if i were to download a file from internet(except save is grayed out) How can i get this to just run the file? (It doesn't do this to *.

hp officejet v40 -driver wont work

We have had the printer for over a year and everything worked but the scanner. So today I decided to try to get the scanner to work and downloaded the driver from hp site. I downloaded the wrong driver(xp instead of nt) and it uninstalled the current driver.

anyone try it? i just downloaded it and spysweeper reported that it was a stealth program. does this mean its spyware? after i run a spysweep, some of the files are deleted from the program which means i cant play unless i reintall it.

i have been using linux for awhile, but decided to reinstall windows for some games, i installed win2000, and everything worked good untill after i installed the ATI drivers, then on the reboot, it went straight into the blue screen and says it's dumping physical memory.

RAID 0 questions

Hello people, I am thinking of setting up a SATA RAID 0 on my Gigabyte 8IK1100. I know it's a software RAID (the integrated ichr5 can do RAID 0 with winxp), but I still want to try. So, when I'll have two SATA disks, I will hook them up on the 1st and 2nd SATA connectors.
