8 bit color depth

Hi, I've a problem! I'm using Xmanager to work on a remote mAchine with cadence,but it requires 8 bit color depth to work well. I tried to set Xmanager's propertyes forcing it to work with 256 colors, but without any result.

three problems

one when i am on the windows update page, internet explorer stops responding, it has done this numerous times, and it wont start responding again, and two when i am using internet explorer for more than 10 minuts it begins to use up 90-100% of my cpu, and i havent been able to stop that.

Win server 2k3 lockup due to DX9b + IGP320M

Hi all, first posting here. . . I'm having a problem since I clean installed windows server 2003 EE on my laptop, most of them driver issues which i fixed. . . however, there is one issue concerning the playback of ANY type of video media file, on MULTIPLE players, (Core, WMP 9, mpegplayer, etc.

Printer upgrade question

I currently use (or was until today when it stopped working) a Canon S200SP printer and need to get a new printer. Am looking at getting a real nice multifunction one. There is a HP PSC2410 going on special locally with a digital camera bonus that has caught my eye.

Rally masters, which AGP card ?

Ok having just spent a fortune on a new dedicated game only system I'm now told the game Rally Masters refuses to work due to the 9600 pro AGP card I put in the thing. OK then what cards do and what don't work with this game ? These cards are not cheap ya know.

Freespace 2 control issue

Got Freespace 2 installed and running smooth like glass. Only one problem: it doesn't recognize when I hold a key down. When I try to use the afterburners, they click on and off, as though I'd merely tapped the key.

I've been a loyal reader of NTCompatible. com since it's true NT days - back when we were really trying to get games to run under NT 4. 0 workstation or NT 4. 0 server. I usually check NTCompatible. com every weekday just to see what reviews might be new on the internet or for other hardware news.

I have noticed that there is no reference to this fix in the existing Carmageddon 2 threads. So, check. It's easy, and it can quadruple the game's resolution from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 960. Have fun. Make sure you read the documentation!.

Printer default settings

Anyone have any idea on how to adjust the default settings XP gives a printer when it is installed. As I install loads and loads of printers very regularly, it's a pain in the butt having to reset all the options to A4 from Letter every time a new printer is installed or mapped to.

IE options being reset

Within the last couple of days, I've noticed my homepage being reset to a random search page. When I boot up IE, it redirects me to aaklb. dll in the Windows directory. I've tried just deleting the file, but it keeps reappearing.
