Hi all, several months ago I was took out my WD 200G HD and put it on my server computer which already had 3 other HD (1 WD 200G, 1 160G WD and 1 80G Seagate). Plugged in the HD and boot up the computer and it does the Window CheckDisk for Consistancy stuff and the next thing I know is that some of the files aren't ...

My RAID controller is: HPT372 UDMA/ATA133 RAID (last software version) I have two HardDisk on RAID: the first is Maxtor 120gb 7200rpm ATA133 8mb of buffer (connected on IDE3). The second is 120gb Seagate 7200rpm ATA100 8mb of buffer (connected on IDE4).

Problems with Warcraft 3

When ever i try to run warcraft 3, It say it cannot initialize Directx but i have directx installed v8. 1b. I ran dxdiag and discovered that directdraw acceleration and direct3D acceleration were not availble.

When I start the game, everything is loading usually: logos, etc. . . But when the main menu is loaded, I don't hear any music playing. I hear sound, but no music! I'm starting the campain, choosing the car and begin the race.

Yes, I can delete them, but I don't want them to be created by the app by default. I hate them, and I don't need any FP exts. I still like FP 2003 though Thanks in advance. .

I have been trying to fix a friends Dell dimension 2350 with XP Home. It seems that something or someone has messed up the security rights. The first problem was trying to uninstall Zonealarm 5. 0, it kept saying I didn't have access to change system configurations.

huge hdd problem...

i have a seagate 40 gig hdd, it worked fine till one nice sunny day it just died for no apparent reason. i have a lot of stuff on it that i dont want to lose. i can detect it in bios, cant boot from it, cant see it in dos, winme, xp, or linux.

Went to do a normal error check from windows XP home edition, just installed today, right clicked c drive > properties > tools > error check > checked both boxes > OKed checkdisk on reboot.

DOS Programs Under XP - Won't Stay Maximized!

I fixed the DOS sound problem with the VDMSound program, but now, I have another problem. The DOS programs won't stay maxmimized! After starting the program, it runs normally for a second, then it switches back to Windows XP as if I hit Alt+Tab or something (which I didn't at all).

I recently upgraded my system to Win2K, Athalon 1800+ XP with an ECS K7S5A mobo (SiS735chipset) and a single stick of 512Mb Mushkin PC133 RAM. Still using my old GeForce2 MMX400 and SB Live! cards along with an Intel 8255 NIC card for my cable modem.

D-Link DWL-520+ Wireless Locks up W2K bootup

Procedures followed (software installed then hardware). W2K locks up on reboot. Removal of card restores boot sequence. On Safe mode boot up and w/ card installed the DWL-520+ resides in Device Manager and states card is working.
