CD/RW problems: All discs are empty :(

Hello there, My CD/RW aways claims that it has an empty medium inserted. No matter if there is or is not a disc in. I can boot WindowsXP instalation from this CD/RW - so it is not broken. It 'stopps' working when WindowsXP are loaded.

Hi, I have got a search bar placed on my task bar. I close it everytime by right click, toolbars, and untick search assistant. How can I keep this off permanently. Also, what has happened, is I have my desktop button shortcut (beside the start button) always first on the list.

This may seem like a DUMB question, but since there really is no such thing, I will take my chances. Need to reinstall CD Writer 9300 driver running on Win 2000 pro. Deleted a bunch of files and tried to remove CD Writer, but could not due to missing file.

Ok the situation is this. I have a Celeron 2. 4, with one gig of PC2100, 9800 Pro 128 meg 8x, and can not seem to get good gaming frame rates at all. In Half-Life I get 30fps and can not understand my problem.

Anyone get this to work? I can get it working using the Windows scanning wizard, but GOD that sucks. BTW it is connected via the SCSI interface, not that it should make a difference. I have a multiboot setup and it works fine in 2000, 2000 Server, and XP.

Windows XP attempts to predict what text you want highlighted as you left click and move your mouse. Most of the time it screws up. How do I turn this feature off so I can just highlight what I want highlighted without WinXP meddling? Thanks.

Hey I have a Barton 2500 @ 3200+, Gigabyte Ga7n400-L Motherboard, 2 x 120 gig seagates (both 7200 rpm, 8 meg cache). When copying from the slave to the primary, my system has 100% cpu usage, and the transfer is extremely slow.

I bougt an identical disk as my c: partition and installed the new drive. I instaled the drive onto a USB 2. 0 external enclosure. now in disk management, i can't upgrade the disk to dynamic. WHY? This is preventing me from making my mirror.
