Hi, This is my 1st post (blah blah its a pleasure etc. etc!) Anyhow I have noticed that many people are concerned about XP SP2 and what it actually does. More by coincidence than design my machine appears to have DEP deactivated, along with the pesky MS firewall.

I have the SVGA Edition of C&C 1 (German) and C&C 2 RA (also German) Under WinXP I am not able to install both games. He says that there is a Setup Initializing Error. There is no difference between both games.

Well i just got my 9600 XT from ASUS and now it is in my computer and the ASUS smart doctor says i need more voltage bcause my mother board is only giving it 1. 5. It tells me to go to the manufactures website, and my mother board right now is from a del opliplex gx260, i know it sucks but owell.

There is no Users & Passwords type option in the Control Panel with Win2k DataCenter Server & it makes it come to this screen where I have to hit CTRL+ALT+DEL before I even login - I don't want to deal with any of that.

Yah, for a long time I've been plagued with ugly colored streaks whilst playing games on my geforce4 mx440 (PCI interface) with windows XP and Abit KT7A-RAID mobo. It looks like a huge chunk of the wall would just be sticking out in some games, while in others these colored squares would just appear out of nowhere.

I've only had SP2 for a day but I get feeling from the four systems I've loaded it on that they seem to respond slower when launching apps or just browsing around. Is it my imagination or is SP2 an XP chugger? I have no use of the improved firewall service and I think that the Windows Update Software updater isn't ...

XP doesn't get to logon screen; it restarts everytime...

I have just installed service pack 1, and now XP won't start properly. After the WinXp logo and moving blue progress bar thingy, it goes black, and then restarts from the beginning instead of going to the logon screen.

I've been living with this problem since I first puchased Dungeon Siege. I just figured out what's causing it now I want to see about fixing it. The issue is that EAX starts to lag and do all kinds of strange delayed and phantom sound effects during gameplay.

Win2k freezes during normal startup

Quake 3 network lags

Hello, My problem is that i get some strange lags ( here is a sshot: ) during games (every 5/10 seconds, i think it's random). I noticed that it happens ONLY when i keep a key down (so it may be upload problem), it's not a virus cos i scanned with about 8 of the greatest anti virs and i got nothing left for sure.

I have windows xp and installed star trek new worlds and can only get the preview video. I click on the single player, choose federation power corrupts and when I click on play the game shuts down and windows appears.
