when i put in the kings quest cd, it says that it cant load the bitmap or something like that, what the hell does an installation have to do with a bitmap???? heeelllppp

NBA Live 2004 problem...direct X?

Alright, here's my story. NBA Live 2004 used to be running fine. . . then, i installed an old game (for fun) Swat 3: Close quarters combat, which required directX media 6. 0 (provided on CD). So, i installed them and presto! Nba live 2004 started but the EA logo freezes halfway.

I have a problem with installing the latest DirectX (DirectX 9. 0). I have Windows XP and I don't know why it won't work. When installing it stops at copying files. WHAT'S WRONG?!?!!.

Just a quickie here guys; I'm running XP Home SP1 DirectX 9. 0b. Should I strive to get DX 9. 0c even though I don't have any games that require it. OR Should I wait until I buy a game that requires it, in which case it will come on the CD anyway?.

Recently I bought A7N8X-VM/400 ,and in the CD I got with it there is nForce driver which includes 'SoundStorm' ,but I am not able to use the facility after installation. Why is it so??Doesn't 'SoundStorm ' support the Model???????.

I might be missing something obvious, but whenever I send a message through Outlook Express from my Lycos account, two messages appear in the recipients' mailbox, although I only get one message in my sent folder.

Hey all. I'm having a mite of a problem with my computer. . . it appears that every time I try to burn something, it decides to restart. This happens when I use both my cd burner and my dvd burner (I bought my dvd burner after the problem started occuring).

Hello i have a problem with my network. Coz i got 2 PC with NT OS and one with XP, the modem that i use is a speed Touch 500 with ASDL, so it got 4 RJ45 ports and all PC got it own port, i can surf with all PC's on the internet, and i can see all files from each PC with NT OS.

I've had this game for a year now, and it's always worked just fine. Then a couple of days ago it was flcikering while i was playing it so i decided to reinstall it. However, when I opened the Launcher and clciked Install X-Wing Alliance' nothing happened.

Weird noises . Soundblaster under XP

Hi, I have a PCI 128 Soundblaster soundcard in my PC. It works OK under ME, but the same card and the same (updated) drivers seems to don't work so well under XP (I have a dual boot system). The sound is full of static noises or something like that.
