missing RAM's; Please help !

I have been using WINdows 98 since a year. I dunno when, but i have recently realised that 2 Mb RAM has vanished from my total memory which was 256MB RAM. i am sad that my system is not able to satisfy the min.

Harddrive disappearing

I recently put in a second harddrive into one of my systems as a spare. It is a 60gig Maxtor. The bios finds the drive no problem and windows sees it fine as well. I formated the drive and i now use it to store files.

Hi, i have a graphics card that will only with direct3d if i have the betat of Directx8 and i can't find it. Please help me. THe card is NeoMagic 256Av. A lot of people say that it doesn't work with Direct3d but i know it does because my friend has the same graphics on his laptop and it works fine with direct3d.

I am using time scaling on the eax settings to practice transcribing music that is to fast for me to play until I get it down. Everytime I stop the song the eax settings turn off and I have to reset them again.

Two Promise controllers don't work together

I have a Giga-Byte GA-7DXR+ motherboard with an AMD 2000+ CPU. I use the onboard Promise 20276 PATA RAID controller with a pair of Maxtor drives in RAID 1 configuration. This works well and is fairly fast, no problems I have just fitted a Promise S150 SX4-M SATA RAID card with a set of Maxtor SATA disks.

help!MY CD-ROM DRIVE HAS GONE 'MAD'!!I have a 52x one. each time i switch on the system and the OS loads it just opens up!!actually it will open up suddenly anytime! another prob. is that it wont auto-run any cd and yes, i 've ensured that the auto-run feature is activated in the settings.

What is lsass. exe - LSA Shell (export version) ?? When ever it runs my CPU usage goes up to 100%. I've only seen it running one time though, so what causes it to run? And do I need it to run. This is on XP Pro.
