It came in, and we're ready to set it up. However, I have a couple of questions. It needs to be connected to the network in order to set it up, but if I do this, will it interrupt other workers connections.

impossible to place shortcuts on the desktop while installing programs

Win XP, sp2, A standing blue bar with folders and tasks stays on my desktop and icons on desktop are immovable. Right clicking gives no options on the big blue bar. While installing programs, it is impossible to place shortcuts on the desktop.

I have recently downloaded the Norton Internet Security 2005 to replace the Norton Antivirus 2003 that I had on my computer. The installation was almost complete when I was promted to restart the computer to complete the installation.

I am using comcast/cable,motorola4200/modem,linksys 4port,modem to uplink,computer A in 2 B in 3. A gets 68 IP B gets 192 IP A gets internet and B does not show. B gets no internet but hits modem send recieve packets ok.

We are trying to implement Windows integrated authentication using NTLM v2. 0 for all HTTP traffic. Every thing is working fine when the system is logged in to the domain. But when the system is not logged into the domain, Firewall gives us a challenge window and asks for the username, password and domain name.

I downloaded the rar file for Age of Empires 2/no cd and I extracted the files but I don't know how to run the game. I do have it installed on my computer, but my cd drive doesn't work. What do I do???? Please help.

Hi. I bought a notebook, Acer 3201xci with Win XP Pro preinstalled and activated, and it seems it is configured to create a D logical drive which cuts the storage space of drive C in half since it takes up half the space.

Im also having the same problem but i can access the internet perfectly ok. Its just that i havn't got a solid ip address and therefore cannot create dedicated servers on online gaming aswell as other things.

My situation is I took 2 harddrives out of my brothers computer to copy the important info off and make both bootable and put them into seperate computers but then I had problems. The first time I put them in my computer no problem.

I encounter problems in Windows 2000 with my video card. I have a GeForce 2 MX200 video card from Mercury that works perfectly under Windows 98 but in Windows 2000 I can't run any games in OpenGL video mode.

Hi every one, i have a fujitsu laptop that did not have a operating system or a cd drive, so i reformated and installed xp pro on the H/D useing another laptop ( compaqe ) that has a cd drive and every thing works great on that laptop.

I am having a problem with my userinit. exe file. I recently recieved a virus that infected some of my exe and scr files. When I try to log into my computer the background will come up but I get an error message that says something about userinit,exe error click ok to terminate the program.

Hello! I am running the original Resident Evil (designed for Windows 95) on my Dell Inspiron 8500 with Windows XP. My laptop has the NVIDIA GeForce 4 4200. The game runs fine except for one thing - it's almost as though I am playing the game in fast-forward mode.

Well, I built a reasonably fast machine to be a TS: P4 3. 2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 2 75gb 10K SATA drives in mirror config. I added the machine to the domain but did not install Active Directory because I thought that might slow things down.
