problem installing directx 9.0c

i installed the sims 2 and i wanted to play, but it says that i did not installed directx 9. 0c but i DID!!! i later then go to run and type DXDIAG. . . in there it says that that my directx is 9. 0b.

i have a question,i`ve just bought a asus K8N-E deluxe motherboard with a Athlon-64 +3200 processor. i`ve downloaded the beta version of windows xp 64-bit for AMD. but it won`t install. ive burned the ISO multiple times with nero and alcohol 120%.

Hi all, hopefully you guys can give me some ideas. I am lost on this now heres whats going on. We are running a regular winXP system sharing out folders for the rest of the network. Clients pulling files off from winXP are all win98 or winXP systems.

Since installing a Radeon 9600XT my system has no sound. I reinstalled the driver for my Soundblaster Audigy + still have no sound. has anyone else seen a problem with these devices being used on the same system? I'm at my wits' end.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC. NT. the system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application. I am now getting this message whenever i try to run an MS-DOS program.

i dont have SIM2 but this could fix ur directx proplem. i havent read every1s tried solutions to the problem but here is my solution to this problem: on my computer i had directx9b, but i needed directx9c for a game to work, so i went to microsoft.
