Hi. I've tried to install the game, but when I click on the install button, it goes to the installation screen and then it asks about the DirectX. I click no, then next, then Yes. Then, it gives me the following Error : InstallShield Engine has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Booting from software raid

I want to run 4 80gig WD sata's on a striped raid. In disk manager i have managed to create this raid but only by using windows on a IDE hdd (5 hdds all up). Problem is once i have created this raid i can't install windows on it so i can use this raid and remove the slow IDE.

Hello, i have setup a machine here with windows xp home, and we are using it as a server where 6 people will access files througout the day from the server. now when i go into a command prompt and type net server config it tells me that maximum logged on users is 5.

About a week ago most of the computers in our work group started to exibit a problem. While using IE or Firefox the browser just looses its access to the internet. The user gets the page not found error.

Problem playing video files in Windows XP after SP2 update.

When I am trying to play video files in any video player (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, Realplayer, etc. . ) the video will play for a few seconds and then either go completely green or become all slow and laggy and then go completely green.

This problem is very trivial, but I have been searching all over the place and haven't found an answer. I have a batch file that works on its own. My installer has to call use batch code rather than calling the external batch file, which looks like: START directory\directory\directory\program.

Can't log into Windows XP pro

Windows xp pro boots up fine but there are no user accounts displayed on the welcome screen so I can't log in. I had to administator accounts and two user accounts. For some reason both of the users was locked out so I cleared the event viewer log files.

I did a complete upgrade in early 2004, all except for my graphics card as I've been waiting for HL2 to be released. I have an Intel 3. 0GHz cpu and 1gig RAM and run WinXP SP2. My current GPU is an Asus Gforce 4 4400 128mb.

Hi, I'm administering this application (written in C++ with ATL) running under IIS 5. Sometimes (the provider doesn't yet know why), it throws an unmanaged exception. So Windows kills the process. .
