ADSL Modem/Wireless & Wired Router Recommendations

Hi All, Firstly, NTC doesn't have a general hardware forum, so I posted here. Basically what the subject says; recommendations on a 4 port switch with a wireless access point and ADSL modem. The important thing is that it NEEDS to support local loopback; ie.

Help me, please. Keyboard problem.

I am using a Wireless Desktop, Labtec. Mostly while I am playing a FPS game, the keys get stuck and the player keeps doing the same action over and over, as if keys were turbo. IE: Player keeps going forward, even when I stop pushing W, the directional button for Forward.

TV Wonder Pro Software Not Recognized in XP

I've loaded the TV Wonder Pro Card w/software onto my PC but the software is only visible in program files folder. Any attempt to launch it fails. I see the TV Wonder card in Device Mgr and all appears to be working.

Outlook XP "Receive & Sending" at startup

Is there any way to make Outlook-XP to avoid receiving & sending whenever I launch the program ? It seems there is a lag of about 3-4 seconds everytime I open it. I remember there is a setting for this the last time I use it, but I couldn't find it anymore.

I cannot find the recyled folder anywhere. I open the command prompt, then type: cd reycled and it says it can't find the folder. However on windows 2000 (on my old computer) when I type: cd recycled I can open the recycled folder.

PowerDVD vs WinDVD

I just tried out PowerDVD 6 and am liking it alot, but which do you guys prefer and why? I gave WinDVD a shot, but its too cluttered looking for me. .

Intel D845BG Motherboard + 2.6GHZ Celeron?

Hi Gang, I've looked at the list of supported processors for my Intel D845BG motherboard and it doesn't list a single celeron processor faster than 1. 8GHZ. It does however list true pentium 4's going all the way up to 2.

Norton 2002 Scripting Errors

Hello, I have attempted to fix the Internet Scripting errors that were occurring with my NAV 2002,(running on XP) everytime I tried to do a scan. Live update seemed to be functional. I found a post from this forum, from back in June 2004, with some excellent solutions posted by Lotus.

sharing of an intrnet connection

hi, with two computers, with system operational XP, has succeeded in sharing a internet connection. The strange thing is that for the remote connections (fram internet) if I leave the function Firewall connetions on the host computer it is not allow to download from consumers internet.

Hello there ! I have been encountering this problem for some time. I am using broadband internet. Recently, whatever I try to download either doesnt start or gets stuck at 75% or after 99%. But the pages are downloaded without any problem.

unknown trojan/worm

hi all. i need help. my pc( os: windows ME) was infected by a unknown trojan ( my antivirus/anti trojan software was not able to detect it) it disables the regedit and puts in a nooptionsfolder and no customized webview in the registry.

computer freezes during gameplay only
