ATA dual boot system

I have two serial ATA drives with XP Home on each. I want to be able to choose which installation to run at bootup, just like I did when I used IDE drives. Gigabyte m/b, Award BIOS. Anyone out there with any tips?.

hi, im sure many of you have seen this problem a few times now but its new to me. I have 2 computers on a lan in my room, both run xp home but on has decided to not recive a ip address from the router (or from the dsl modem itself) it gives me an ip number of 169.

Pls Help--GF 6600 GT blue screen problem

Just bought a GF 6600 GT from XTX and am having some serious issues. Started with RTW going blank, now getting blue screens at start up with a NV4_disp error (if you know what to do, I'll put the full error line.

Taskbar Icon text missing ???

I had to reload Win2K and now find the program taskbar is only displaying Icons and no text. Most annoying wnen you have a few IE windows open and they all show the MS e logo. Anyone know how to reset this back to default or how it happened in the first place ??.

Hi. I have no midi music in Tie Fighter 95. Volume is ofcourse set ok. There's no problem about FX and other things. Unfortunately I can't hear midi music neither during flight nor in the static parts.

i upgraded from windows ME to XP and now my pioneer dvd-rom drive wont play dvds. Cds work fine but not dvds. how can i get it to work for me? Thanks.

does ne one know what maximum temp i should avoid with my oc'd barton 2500? right now it cruises at 43 c (msi k7n2 delta xp 2500 @ 2. 21 1 gb dual channel ddr 400 ati 9800 xt oc'd artifact free).

Critical update stopped Task Scheduler Service

The Microsoft critcial update released yesterday (810833), messed up the Task Scheduler Service. When I try and start this service, I get, Error 1717: The interface is unknown. The MS page for this patch is This service worked fine until this morning.

Heavy Gear 2 problem... help....

Ok. . here's the deal. I got a new computer with windows XP. I installed Heavy Gear 2. It worked on my old computer with Win98, VooDoo 3 2000 PCI, P266, and 64MB RAM. Now, my new computer with WinXP, Radeon 7500, 256MB RAM, and P3 1Ghz, fails to run the game after I complete or fail the 4th mission.

I don't know what's going on, but my CD drive won't even read the disc! Every time I try to run it, it says to insert a disc, but there's already one in it! I reinsert it, but it still won't read it.

Allocation of memory on local drives

My hard drive (as most yours are, I'm sure) is partitioned off into two local drives; c: and d: I am beginning to have space issues on the c: drive (~15 gig) and have all this space available on the d: drive (~18 gig).
