how do i prevent windows management from running during normal use time. . \ (ie when playing a game or some such activity) as it allways slows the cmputer down to a snails pace (games especailly suffer).

pioneer slot-loading DVD won't play DVDs (will play CDs). Thoughts?

I recently purchased a (used) Pioneer DVD-104 slot-loading DVD player. I hooked it up and tried playing a CD (music). This worked just fine. However, when I go to play a DVD I'll insert the disc, it'll act like it's reading for about 5-10 seconds, then spit the disk back out.

After my computer has been on for a couple of hours it tends to slow down. I had done a full system scan earlier using AVG, Ad-aware, Spybot and 3b software win reg repair pro. When the system slowed couple of hours later I ran them all again AVG found nothing Spybot found nothing but the usual dso exploits But 3b ...

Linksys Router droping connection intermittently

I have a linksys BEFSR41 router, that drops my connection intermittently. I have 4 computers hooked to this router then onto the interenet through a cable modem. Everything has been working great for a few years now but just a few weeks ago this problem occured.
