Hello everyone. I have a friend who has a new computer, with Norton Internet Security 2005 installed, but he has to disable it to get Internet access. BT has tried to help and they have got as far as figuring out that he can only gain access to websites via numbers, but not using a url.

i installed a theme and it came with a bootscreen. when i deleted the bootscreen was still there. my boot. ini contains two lines, one for default XP othe for the Theme boot. if i cut the line for Theme boot, will it make a harm?.

Every so often while I am browsing and working on the internet and sometimes not on-line, my laptop motor will wind up and start to run fast then all of a sudden the compyter jsut shuts off. Sometimes I will get the dreaded blue screen with computer jibberish and other times the whol laptop just shuts off completely.

Slipstream Windows Server 2003 3-in-1 CD

I've got a Windows Server 2003 3-in-1 CD and I'm getting a new server computer. Since Win2k3 SP1 is out, I'd like to slipstream the SP1 into the installation CD. However, the slipstream guides I've seen are for a CD with only 1 edition of Windows.

problems with Hexen 2 Mission Pack under Windows XP

I´ve got a problem running the Hexen 2 Mission Pack (Portal of Praevus) under WinXP. While Hexen 2 itself works all fine after deleting opengl32. dll, the mission pack mixes up the polygons of the weapons.

Sound Hardware - onboard or addon?

For some time this was a nobrainer to me. I've always gone for add-on sound cards (notably Creative's Soundblaster series, my latest one being the Live 5. 1) even if my motherboard has an onboard sound chip.

Hello, I am building 6 identical computers which will operate on XP PRO. They will all also use the same initial software. My question is: can I use a program such as Ghost 2003 or 9. 0 to create a disk image and copy this to the other harddrives in order to avoid having to do a complete installation on each one.
