I have comcast on-Demand cable and I want to be able to copy in and burn the 4th season of Curb your Enthusiasm. I bought all the other DVD's but the 4th season is not yet on disc. What hardware would I need to capture the live video into my computer as it is playing on the tv? I want to keep this setup real cheap ...

Tie Fighter - EMS problem

Hi, I´m trying to run TIE FIGHTER (the old DOS version) on windows XP. It actually works if i turn off the sound from the setmuse setup. But when i try running it with sound (i use VDM, and works fine with other games) it says i need more EMS memory and then drops back to the desktop.

AOE II Colour problem

Hi, hope some1 can help. . . I have owned AOEII Gold Edition since it was released. Recently when i start a game the colours go absolutely hopeless. . . I think the colours go from 16million back to 256 colours and everything looks like crap.

Lately, I've been running some experiments to try to discover why it is that my Win2K machine takes so long (2 - 5 secs) to resolve a website and begin to download the first page. I'm using 2M bit ADSL broadband, PPoA, via a router-modem, with my single Win2K machine attached via Ethernet.

Hi folks, was using Symantec Corporate Antivirus 8. 1, just upgraded to version 9. Tried an upgrade as well as uninstalling v 8. 1, then installing v 9, in both cases v 9 absolutely refuses to load the Auto-Protect (realtime scanning) feature.

Ok, i have some problems with my Pc. A few days ago i did a Defrag and during this the computer crashed. After i next rebooted the computer would always just randomly restart at any time or go to the blue screen of death at any time.

I notice there's no coverage on that one on the sticky. Is there a good way to approach getting a good slipstream SP2 disk? I went through the trouble of getting an SP1 slipstream disk, but noticed a couple of the options were non-functional.

DNS Server in XP?

Hi! I can't find any working DNS server for XP Pro. I've tried Simple DNS Plus (service craches on first dns lookup) and the NT-port of BIND (program ended unexcpectedly), but no luck. Can I somehow use the dns server from Win 2000? How do I rip it? - Tom.
