I have 2 valid emachine towers (T4155, T1100) with Windows XP preinstalled. I an trying to backup the hard drive using norton ghost and the backup works fine but I can only restore from the T4155 disks to to T4155 machine and from the T1100 disks to the T1100 machine.

Hi guys. My first time here. Pleased. I'm having problems with a game i'm trying to run that needs directx 9. 0c. The problem is that the installer just skips to the part where it says that everything is installed, but it takes like less than a sec, so i know it hasn't done anything.

What if OS/2 lived?

I remember back just before Windows 95 was released, OS/2 was quite intriguing at the time. My uncle and I went out and bought OS/2 Warp version 3. 0, and I was just blown away. Awesome shell interface, it could run DOS games with full sound, tons of program options, it could run Windows 3.

i had the side panel off of my computer with it on the other day because i was trying to install a new harddrive, but when it was plugged in all it would do was beep. i would turn it on and the monitor wouldnt even come on and if i got it to it would say no signal.

P4 fan, quiet but cools well????

Had my p4 2. 8 HT working great, last few days fan been getting louder. Checked my PCU temp, its 50C in bios, so must be alot higher underload. Can some one suggest a quiet yet effective fan? Or should i just replace with another intel fan?.

I hope some pc wiz can help my kids on this one. We bought Segasoft Vigilance on the cheap from the local pc store but it won't even instal. Seems it is incompatible with Windows XP. Is there a clever workaround to get the game to work on Windows XP? Any way at all?.

Hi, I have a problem with Windows NT 4. 0 SP6. Is there any way to change the interrupts (registry???). On my new Asus P5GD2 installation of NT4 was impossible. (but I could manage it. . . see below if interested) All devices (VGA, VideoCaptureCard, LAN) want to use IRQ 10! This is silly cause IRQ 9,11,12 is free!! ...

i have some spywares on my comp. whenever i type a new address in the address bar of internet exploer, i get redirected to random internet sites, one of which is: how do i remove this? also, i have some program names tht appear on the msconfig (startup tab) even though these programs were uninstalled loong time bak.
