Building a system ... heavy problem - Asus A7V266E

First of all, Ive been building system for a while now, im pretty much always building the same stuff (AMD with asus mother boards, maxtor HD etc. . . ) The system im building now is pretty much similar to the other one ive build, but the mother board is a newer one that im trying.

Problems with Service Pack 2 to Windows XP

The service pack seemed to install properly and re-boot, and at the boot-up screen where Windows XP asked whether to turn 'automatic updates' on or off I chose off since I never want Windows to access the Internet without my permission.

MONKEY ISLAND 4 and XP!

AHH! This is soooo TERRIBLE! Okay, So I KNOW ScummVM doesn't work with Monkey Island 4, but is there anything ELSE that we can use to play it on XP? Please HELP! XP won't let me install it because of some odd 16 bit stuff.

I was thinking of buying a Coolmaster Cavalier Series case, and I know that it is a mid tower case. . . My question is, will a Micro-ATX board fit into a Mid-Tower case designed for Standard ATX boards? Thanks in advance.

ey guys i need help with my computer. my problem is that after the bios checks the disk for errors, the screen scrambles then it shuts off afterwards. when i'm lucky, i get to use it for quite some time but sometimes it just hangs and turns off then turns on again.

Hi all. I keep having this error with Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 where in the main game (as in the allied or soviet campaigns) of whenever a video of someone/something starts playing in the top right hand corner where the map usually is after a while the game freezes.

I just bought the sims but after i installed it it said it failed to find directx graphics adapter, but on systems check it says i have one. people say i have to buy a new graphics adapter, but i dont want to pay all that money.

How can I select a portion of the screen?

This seems like a bit of a dummy question to ask, but how can I 'marquee' a portion of any screen, in order to save it as an htm file? Any screen means either online or offline. In most offline situations, there are no menu bars from which you can select commands.

i can install ra2 perfectly fine everytime but when i launch the game i get this ticking noice and then there is no sound. . . i also have no sound on anything else on my computer untill i restart it.

alright, so i got some tut off the net describing what i could do if i had BIOS to fix my memory issues. I came to realize that i dont have BIOS, i have CMOS or something. So i was trying to relate some of the thigns it was saying to do for BIOS on CMOS.
