I NEED HELP!!! getting hanycam video onto computer

I am using a CCD-TR86 sony handycam to record video of me and my friends for a project and ALL I WANT TO DO IS GET THE F%$&*# VIDEO ONTO MY COMPUTER. Everywhere i go they tell me something different and every program i either buy or download says allows you to capture any video format and convert it to AVI or MPEG.

Installing Window NT on 250 GB Maxtor Sata HDD

Dear All, I am trying to install Window NT on my PC. Currently it is having windows XP installed (Came with Dell Dimension 4700 package). I am planning to install Window NT instead of Window XP. I changed the boot sequence and inserted the window NT CD in CDROM.

I just installed Firefox 1. 05 (from 1. 04) on July 12. At the time, I have not installed the ActiveX plugin for Firefox. I was able to view some of the streaming windows media that doesn't require ActiveX, such as videos (news, etc) from my ISP's portal, Rogers Yahoo.

ISDN Modem Stops Respondin after 2 weeks

Hi I have an ISDN connection at home which i use to dial in to work from time to time. The work ISDN is connected to the main network with NT and 2003 servers. The work modem seems to work fine for approx 2 weeks but then just stops responding when i try to dial in from home.

windows login problems plz help

yes im new and ive had this problem with my pc for about 2 tadys and in those two days ive had to put atleast 6 or more into finding a solution for it. The problem is when i log into my account it amidietly logs me back out ive done the c:\windows\system32\>copy userinit.

Hello everybody, MY problem is this whenever I reboot my computer a UK(British) Lycos website pops up. it mainly pops up at reboot but sometimes pops whenever and if I'm playing a game it'll kick me out and minimize the game.

I Recently boaught an AMD Sempron 2400+. . . I installed it, and everything was fine until I noticed that in windows the processer is stuck at 995-1000 MHz. . . I know that this is way to low, it should be (according to the box) around 1.

Okay yesterday i bought the sold out edition of Dungeon keeper two, installed it and it works fine, apart from one thing. . . When i play the game , rows apon coloums of small black squares apear, which are really annoying.

problems with booting GRUB

hello i have a serious problem, i have a dell inspiron 3800 with linux installed and i removed it with a recovery cd. problem is everytime i start up it says this GRUB Loading stage 1. 5 error 22 partition not found and i can only boot from a cd how do i remove this GRUB.

Video Card Load Temperatures

I downloaded RivaTuner today and recorded my GPU's temperature during load while playing CS. At idle it stays below 50C, ~47C usually, with ambient being a couple degrees lower. I checked it after about an hour and my GPU's temp.
