DirectX problem

Well i got a problem it started when i installed a free online game Americas Army. Well it didn't worked so i went to the AA forums. There a moderator said dat i shoud uninstall DirectX with the DirectX Buster.

how do i reboot XP daily at regular times - automatically!

I have an old Pentium MMX 200 (MoBo J-Mark 571B, Award Bios 4. 51 SiS 5571 Chipset) running Windows XP Pro. Every time I start up the PC, Windows installs new drivers for my secondary IDE channel, and the 2 CDROM drives on it.

Search & Help have gone A.W.O.L.

I don't know what the underlying cause was but for some reason, after I installed XP, the 'Search' function just didn't seem to be able to find its own arse with both hands. Now I notice that the 'Help & Support' gives no response when I click on it.

I just crashed out of EverQuest and after rebooting I ran DxDiag to check things out and before it brought the window up I got this: Error: could not get basic sound info. , result code = 0x80070057 (Invalid arguement(s)).

"State of Emergency" Wont Run!

I can't get State of Emergency to Run! Is there a patch or method I should follow to run it? I have an SiS utility card, Win XP and Intel P4 computer. Can someone please help me with this? I really want to play this game.

Sims 2 - Little black dashes

Hello =) I just bought the Sims 2 DVD and it seemed to install just fine. Everything looks okay so far EXCEPT there are little black dashes on the sides of the screen from top to bottom. What could cause this? Is this an easy fix? I'm new at this.

I have a mac version of DOTT that i'm litterally dying to play and i have windows xp. i've downloaded scummvm but it doesn't recognize that the cd is in the drive. Is there something i should download? i've already tried HFVExplorer, but that didn't recognize the cd either.

I am putting together a new PC with Soyo Dragon2 2. 0 MB and while the system is up and running, there is a motherboard monitor utility in a CD that came with the MB. While installing that utility, the install program terminates with the message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.

Hey, we got an assignment for tomorrow at school; start a Windows XP machine as fast as possible, with a notepad document in the autostart. With almost no hardware changes, (overclocking is counted as sw), maybe add a little more memory.

Windows 2000 with an old computer

Hello ;( I'm running Windows 2000 on my Pentium 133 mhz with 128 MB RAM. I'm only using it for running couple of IRC bots 24/7 and sometimes surfing the web. I haven't found it being too slow, but if you have any tips to disable some useless stuff, please tell me.
