Somehow I have a added/copied a recyled bin to a secondary hard drive that I don't want it in but can't delete/remove it from the drive. The drive does not have windows 98 (my op sys) but valuable music info I need.

Whenever I attempt to download the Sims 2, it reaches 100% downloading and stays like that for about 2 minutes then a message pops up saying (word for word) A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file 'F:\TSData\Res\UserData\Neighborhoods\N001\n001_Neighborhood.

Hi all. I wasn't sure where the best place was to put this question. Can anyone tell me is there a way to block ports in Win XPPro, without having to use a router to do it. I know that some firewalls claim to be able to block ports but they don't allow the user to do it themselves.

OK, I have a sony vaio that is about a year old, P4 2. 8, 800mhx fsb, DDR333 support etc etc. When I boot up and read the POST stuff, it says that 1GB of PC2100(266mhz) is detected. So, if the memory is all pc2700 why isnt the BIOS recognizing it as such? It carrys over into windows as well, programs like belarc ad ...

I just moved and when I set up my win2k machine in my new apartment I cannot get any usb devices other than my mouse to work. The mouse is fine but when I plug anything else in (printer, scanner) the unplug or eject hardware icon comes up showing usb device to be not working properly.

My friend had this error message appear. There was no hardware installed just before this error occured he was just simply browsing the web. Each time he started up it showed the blue screen with this message.

Crashing to Desktop in EverQuest

Recently installed XP Pro + SP2 and it keeps generating a Fatal error in the main thread code when I try to log my character in once I've logged into my account & the world server. EQ has no tech support on the weekends which is why I'm asking y'all for a clue to the solution if you can figure it out.

I've done some research, visited most websites, and what I've read is that I cannot play my dvd movies with my current DVD-ROM drive unless I buy a decoder card. But my question is, is this a fact? Must I get a decoder card, because I have no pci slots free.
