Well, it installs fine and i can play all the way up to the second act just before you advance maps. When the icon turns to a little wheel and i try to advance maps, the game kicks me back to desktop and gives me an assertion error.

SBLive joystick port not working in W2K

The joystick port of my SB Live is detected and installed correctly by W2K, but when I attach a joystick to it, and try to add it through control panel, it says my port is not working correctly. This happens both with the SB Live W2K basic driver and the beta drivers.

Anyone break the 24hr uptime barrier yet?

I've been running Win2K at home for several weeks now and still haven't broken the 24 hr uptime mark (though I got to 23. 5 recently). I'd say mean time between failure on Win2k is about 30 minutes. My computer at work (NT 4 SP6) has over 600 hours of continuous uptime now, and that's only because I had to shut it ...

OK, here's the story: I had approx 8 devices all sharing IRQ 9, so I switched from ACPI to standard PC (To hopefuly solve my notorious Quake 3A probs with my Vid card). This fixed the IRQ sharing probs, but now my computer won't shutdown.

Savage 4 drivers so good so far in D3d

Driver version 5. 12. 1. 8000. Some games like the UT demo menu screen is all jacked up but once in the game, it is Ok. I have had good success with Rally Chanpionship 2000 demo. No problems yet. Anyone else getting good success yet with savage 4?.

i have win2k on my machine but my friends only have win98 and win98SE. when we set up a LAN, simple lan using NIC cards and BNC cable, my games often suddenly quit whereas the games in 98 don't. Quake3 plays fine, kingpin and revolts both quit.

Hi! I've got a P166-mmx, 4. 3Gb HDD and 64MB or RAM, and I'm currently running NT4. 0 which is wonderful, it's a little slow starting up, but it's much better than Win 9x, and I don't get crashes Now.

Hi, i got a problem with Adaptec 7850 scsi card and a Yamaha 4416 burner, i also got a Toshiba scsi cd on the same card, but win2k don´t find my yamaha burner just the toshiba. i have tried to switch id´s and so but no luck and upgraded the aspi drivers i´m ineed for some help =) i got a Abit BH-6 rev 1.

Guys you may or may not be interested in this. I was getting ready to install Windows 2000 on my system and I wanted to make sure that my current motherboard would be up to spec so I emailed FIC techsupport and told them that I have the second newest bios available for my board.

Here's an odd one for you. . . based on my searches of the forums, no one has seem it. Installed Win2k 2195 (the real thing baby!) last night as a fresh install. . . even formatted the drive to NTFS.
