What can I do ? Desktop stays ON, monitor stays on Black Screen

Can anybody help me? give me suggestions? Two days ago my computer desktop, Gateway 333c was fine, then all of the sudden the keyboard and mouse froze, I had to just power off the PC because it was completely frozen.

Does anyone know how to reload the default web pages in SBS 2003? Somehow the pages got jacked up when I installed the certificate authority, the companyweb and the default wwwroot sites no longer work correctly and a few of the pages are missing.

All, I'm in the middle of doing a Windows Server 2003 course (Prep for the 70-290 exam) and I've been searching the net for a while now and cannot find the answer to the forthcoming question. Currently, I am running Server 2003 on a laptop, because redoing my desktop machine would be a nightmare.

We had a power outage about a week ago. My Toshiba laptop was fine (I have a surge suppressor). Then there was a brief outage on Saturday. That night I turned my puter on. It was fine. It was on for a couple of hours, as I never ended up using it (it was never on standby).

Does anyone out there know of a program that is similar to CCleaner? My Bitdefender keeps saying it has a trojan in the program and refuses to run it. I have scanned the program at many places and only Bitdefender says there is a problem.

I am having trouble with outlook 2003 mail. I have been using outlook for awhile to check my mail and everything was working fine until yesterday. Now I cannot check my verizon mail. My msn is working fine though.

(HI, I'm new and I have a problem) Got up yesterday morning and found the pc won't start at all. Each time the powerup process gets to the user select screen (there are two people with separate logon accounts) the machine restarts.

If you select automatic using Acronis Trueimage 8. 0 with the above mentioned laptop after selecting all the partitions for cloning you will end up with Drive C as the primary active drive and recieve the error message missing NTLDR when you boot your new hard drive.

WIN 98SE will not load drivers from CD-ROM-HANGING-FREEZING??

Hi Guys, I tried to install a APC Battery Backup on my Dads computer. The Windows Installer asked for the Win 98SE disk,so I put one in the CD-ROM drive(CD is for another system). Then it goes in to a long process of installation(eterinity!!!!!).

XP Compatability Mode will not do the job of allowing me to use my old LotusWorks software (Win 3. 1 - DOS) with XP Pro (Can't get full-screen display). I use LotusWorks Word for writing manuscripts.

Red Alert 2 suddenly stopped working, no new software added, no XP updates, no hardware changes. When I start playing it, when the character talks the games freezes for about 5 seconds and then carries on.

Hey guys, I have two computers, one with XP Home, and one with XP PRO. My home edition computer will install the FFB2 with no problems. The Pro computer however will not. The computer recognizes the Joystick, but when the Found New Hardware window pops up, it states: There was a problem installing this hardware.
