Blue screen keeps popping up and shutting down my comp

Ok i got a vaio notebook in 2003, ive been using it 4 2 years and the every once in a while a blue screen popped up and 3 seconds later it shut down my comp. But recently its been happening everytime i open up my main account on windows xp, the administrator.

Again, lol, yes I know. . . Heres another. I need a program (acronis recoverexpert not working) to scan a drive for files/partitions to recover files. I really want a program I tried months ago and it worked to recover files from a 100GB drive that were lost when the partition got damagaed.

I’m running xp pro. I ran into problems with a scanning program so I uninstalled sp2 and I was deleting the other xp hotfixes, believing that this was the source of the problem with the program that had suddenly begun to crash.

I had a massive system blowout and several of my components got fried. I had a 200GB SATA Maxtor Drive (6Y00L0 or something) onto which I had filled up with plenty of data, including my windows install.

Secondary Hard Drive Not Recognized

8) I've reformatted the MAIN DRIVE (C drive several times before just to clean stuff out & I never had this problem before, within WinXP b2600. My SECONDARY HARD DRIVE is recognized in my BIOS and even within Device Manager but not in My Desktop.

Hello, I haven't posted new VNCScan releases to the list as much as in the past but this one is so exciting that I couldn't help myself. The most exciting thing about this release is that you can now *remotely* reboot a Windows computer into safe mode (with networking) and then access it using VNC.

Hi Friends. . . today i upgraded my pc to a Intel D915GAV with P4 HT 3. 0 processor & 512 ddr 400mhz. Apart from xp sp2& windows2000, nothing seems to get installed. Windows 98SE is not getting installed at all, always getting stalled.

Stop error message on start up

I am receiving a stop error message each time I try to log on. It says that a problem has been detected and windows needs to shut down to protect my computer. It indicates that running a diagnostic memory check might help, or to uninstall any new drivers, software or devices.

Hi, I have a website that runs of the CD that I distribute to clients. I have given a provision for the user to copy all the files to the user's hard disk and run from there. The link in the webpage calls up a dos batch file that looks like this: setup.

Win Backup File restoration woes

I'm having trouble restoring a Windows Backup File (. bkf). The file origianlly resided on a ZIP disk. I've copied it to my hard disk (XP Pro) but cannot restore the file. The restore process starts fine, but as it get to around the 80% mark, I'm prompted to insert media #2 (see for pic).

My computer with windows 98 can only start up in safe mode.
