New P4 NOT WORKING

I have a PC CHIPS Motherboard for a P4 478 and i got a 2. 26 processor but i used the old 300 watt pwr supply but it didnt work then i tired another busted p4 power supply but nothing still. but when i plug that p4 pwr supply to another MB with another P4 Processor in it it make some sounds but then it goes off ?.

I just recently built a new pc. After using it for abit one day, World of warcraft did this to me. . After messing with some settings, i got it back to normal, but had to get rid of some glowing effects on the video settings.

Can I use recovery console to change drive letters?

Long sotry short, I installed XP Pro to my new sata drive (Raptor) while keeping my two 60 gig pata drives in the system. Windows installed by defalt to drive e:\ on the sata drive. My system seems to see the pata drives as primary and sata as secondary.

I know there have been some other threads about explorer crashing but they only seemed vaguely similar to whats happening on my computer. I can start windows explorer just fine and use the expand and collapse plus/minus signs to navigate through the tree on the left side panel.

I'm having lots of trouble getting the official Ensoniq NT4 Drivers to work with Windows 2000. . . here's whats been going on: The card used to work. . every now and then, I'd have to reinstall the drivers for some strange reason, because Windows could not find the specified drivers.

I am running a Sony Vaio PCV-RS510 with Windows XP Home Edition (SP2). About 3 weeks ago, my hard drive crapped out and I had it replaced. I used the Sony System Recovery disk and everything is working great now except that my 8 USB ports are now operating at low speed and they used to all be 2.

Problem with USB Flash Disk

I have VIA motherboard with an Intel 845 Chipset running Celeron 2. 13Ghz processor and 128MB RAM. I have a Transcend JetFlash USB Flash disk. Whenever I plug it in, it gets detected fine. But whenever I try copying files from it, it seems to freeze.

Copying CD-based Audiobooks

Hi Gang, Here's what I'd like to do, copy multi-cd audiobooks into one long, mono, low-quality MP3 file. However, I seem to have problems getting that to work using CDex. Seeing how CDex hasn't been updated for years I'm thinking that CD makers have found some way to distort their audio so it won't come out using CDex.

i had a problem with my windows that caused me to repair it using the xp disk. . . . . but now when i boot up, my user account is gone. . . . the folder is still there in the C:\documents and settings.
