WARCRAFT 2 sound card compatibility

Simply put. . . Custom built 'puter /w Win2kPro OS (XP too much junk in it). Re-installing old Warcraft 2 game and it checks for LOL ancient soundcards (no offense my first 'puter was a TRS-80,LOL) ,anywho, how do I bypass the systems check and get it operating with a modern system?.

Intel Wireless/PRO connection failure

Tks for yr help in advance. My Acer290 suddenly experience, on startup, a wireless connection failure this morning? It was working fine for 2 years! The properties window of the Wireless/PRO 2100 BC adapter show it is working fine.

Howdy guyz, Whenever i login to XP,one of my old wallpapers appears and after the the login messages starting up. . . and so on are over my new wallpaper is displayed. I don't know why it happens. Is that i've enabled active desktop or some other thing? Thanx in advance!!.

need help connecting to the internet

Ok so I've been trying to connect to the internet on my other PC using the same connection as this one. For ages it says Aquiring IP address then it says it has no or limited connectivity. I've tried inputting the IP ect manually but then it says its connected but doesn't actually do anything at all.

Cable Connection Problem???

I have been using COX Cable Internet for some months now, after being sick and tired of DSL. At first it was great! But now, for about a month, the connection has been getting slower and slower. And when I try to watch any streaming video (Opsgear has killer mil-sim paintball vids), it stops dead right in the middle.

XP tries to configure deleted software

Upon startup, Windows tries to configure PhotoGallery, which I have uninstalled. Then a dialog box opens to ask for the CD-ROM. When I cancel, I get Error 1706. (no valid source for PhotoGallery). This repeats again and I go thru the same process.

I can't login on windows xp i've tried everything then i taught i had found the sollution on this website and i did (kinda). i made a boot-floppy to tried to copy c:/windows/system32/userinit. exe to c:/windows/system32/wsaupdater.

Error Installing the sims

A while ago i uninstalled the sims and i recently tried to reinstall it and everytime i click the install button WINNT/SYSTEM32/AUTOEXEC. NT. The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications choose 'close' to terminate the applcation then it says close or ignore! pops up.

Hi Phillip, Just wondering if you've ever considered setting up just to complete the set? I'm sure there are some people with fingers in both pies who'd be keen on it. Especially since you can run it off the same server as NT and Linux.

I have a question regarding the Open File Option (OFO) on Backup Exec 10 for Windows Servers. BE 10 is running on a Windows 2000 SP4 server and backs up about 9 Windows servers and 1 Novell server (all of them have the appropriate Remote Agents installed).
