How does a UPS work?

Because of recent electricity supply outages, I'm thinking of getting an uninterruptible power supply on which to run my PC and monitor. I understand in principle the characteristics of UPSs but one thing that I'm unsure of is the following.

HEY HELP!! i BOUGHT FINAL FANTASY 7 AND 8 FOR PC FINAL FANTSAY 7 WORKS FINE,ITS FINAL FANTASY 8 FIRST IN SAID MISSING DLL SO I DONLOADED A FILE FOR PC'S THAT HAVE NVIDIA GFORCE SO YES IT PLAYED THEN NOW THE PROBLEM IS IT KEEPS ASKING TO INSERT CD 1 BUT THE COMPLETE GAME WAS ONLY ONE ONE CD.

hello After i setup this program directx jun2006 i try to lunch any game but it told me that there is some thing wrong with D3D and i go to start>run>dxdiag>display i found that it need update the drive and i search alot for it but no way please help note: i use windows xp pro ps2

problem istalling Starcraft

hi! i have a problem istalling Starcraft on windows xp. it installs only about 73 mb of the whole game, though the installation takes 636 mb. it seems some files remain uninstalled. . . what can I do? i would appreciate any help.

A few days ago I brought final fantasy vii ultima edition. I had windows xp pro running. And the game worked fine, lagged a bit in software mode but worked fine with my radeon 7500. But me computer when crazy and I downgraded to windows 2000.

Just recently around the 16 of this month I have keeped being noitified by aol safety and security to delete this file thats in my system32. . . . it asks for permission to delete this file,which i approve and comes back with a pop up saying unable to delete.

Hi, I need to write a function to convert characters into their binary equivalent. Which function do we use to get the ascii code of a character - e. g an 'A' is 65 and and which function do we use to return the character associated with an Ascii code eg 65 will return an 'A'.

Logitech QuickCam software is blocking web browsers

Problem description: ONLY I installed yesterday was Logitech QuickCam (version 9. 5 for QuickCam 5000). It was full install i. e. drivers + additional programs. After the installation both web browsers (I'm using IE and FireFox) stopped open web pages! There is no delay during page loading.

Sharing between XP and VIsta partitions

Hey windows gurus. I have a dual boot vista and xp machine and would like to share files between the partitions. The problem that I am running into is that my user id (S-1-5-80-95600. . . . . . ) is different on the two machines and I can't figure out how to explicitly give the guid permissions via the security tab.
