well this aint my problem but its a friend of mine. he shut his computer down as normal and apparently when he switched it back on it wouldnt load up properly and gets stuck at the desktop screen with no icons or options.

Hi, I FINALLY got Duel of the Planeswalkers to work on XP with the original CD and the unofficial 1. 3. 2 patch. It will play just fine and then the whole computer crashes like the plug was pulled.

Hi, I'm trying to install the game on my PC. I've downloaded DOSBOX and when I type in FF7INST, which is the installation. exe file. It keeps telling me illegal command: win. I'm kind of stuck and have no idea what to do.

I've just finished playing Evil Genius again, and still in the mood for that sort of game, am trying to install Dungeon Keeper 2. However, when I try and install, the cursor switches to the pointer with the hourglass for about 5 seconds, then changes back to normal, and nothing opens.

i have the sims 2 discs, but with one problem. disc 1 is cracked and i can't install it. the rest of discs are just fine. i tried to copy the files to my computer and install it that way, but it didn't work.

IDE to SATA DVD drive not working in XP

I have an NEC DVD drive connected to an IDE to SATA converter. It works in 2003 server. . . it works in XPs safe mode. . . It does NOT work in XP. XP recognizes the drive and says that the device is working properly.
