filtered GPO

hi, wen i tried to run gpresult /v it had a line there that the GPO i created was filtered thats why it was never implemented. Only the Domain Controller policy was implemented. what should i do so that the GPO i created will not be filtered out?.

intel dp965lt board...audio/sound problem

i got a new pc. with an intel dp965lt motherboard which has integrated Audio. My problem is inconsistent. Sometimes when i start my computer and after logging in Windows, the program INTEL AUDIO STUDIO CONTROLLER flags me an error saying.

No sound on laptop. Broken soundcard?

Hello, My mom has an IBM A30 laptop and the sound does not seem to be working any longer. The speakers were properly connected, I removed them and attached them to my PC and they worked fine. But when I reconnect them to the laptop, there is no sound.

hi, i want to implement a policy in windows 2003 server, and enforce that policy to a group such that when any member of that group logs in to any computer, that policy would be implemented. how can i do that? maybe somebody could give me a good tutorial or link to a good tutorial.

We just hooked up our daughters laptop to our Soni Viao via a Belkin wireless router. Both are Win XP. I got both working on our dsl line correctly. The Sony( main computer) is hooked to a Cannon MP870 printer, scanner.

Another drive not formatted error...

Any drive hooked up causes the error 'the disk in drive x is not formatted. Would you like to format it now?' Thing is, the drives are fine. Doesn't matter if there is information on them or not. Always the same result with any mp3 player, thumb drive, camera etc.

Is it still possible, in the UK, to buy a straightforward copy of WinXP Pro? That's to say, without embedded SP2. I'm a 2K-user myself but am planning for the time when support for Win2K will have waned beyond redemption and where I'll need to invest in WinXP instead.

FireFox and counter strike crashing

Whats up homies long time. This is pimpin_228 btw. Anyways i have windows xp installed with all the latest updates installed. But firefox crashes after about 3 mins of use same with counter strike. I was wondering if anyone has any similar problems or how to fix this.

When I try to install Disk 3 on the sims 2 when it get to 77 percent it say cant install Object00. package and it really irratates me I am son trying to install this for my son who really wants to play it!! Please Help!!.

not entirely sure how this went about so sorry about the briefness. my second computer has a cdrw and a dvdrw. i turned it off as normal as any other time and next time i logged on both drives had power but the drives and the computer wernt recognising each other.

hi im not very literate when it comes to computers so sorry for the briefness. a certain folder, im not sure what it contains anymore coz its been that long since the problem began. i go to enter it via double click and it comes up with an error report and shuts the screen down.

replacing on-board video with PCI video card

I have an HP Pavillion 705 and I can't get any video. I tried with multiple monitors including a new one. After concluding the on-board video is bad, I bought a new PCI video card and put it in. But, without working video, I can't disable the on-board video and enable the new card.
