Final Fantasy 8 CD Problem

Hi I have installed final fantasy 8 for the pc on my computer, it ok, works fine and then i say i want to play a new game and it tells me to put in cd 1. i do but it keeps coming up as Wrong Disc, even if i had disc one in the drive in the first place!! does anyone know what i am doing wrong?? Please help an idiot ...

Petz 4 Keeps Freezing

I have just installed the Petz 4 on to my new computer but after 20 seconds of playing, it freezes. I try it over and over again and even restarted the computer but still keeps freezing and not responding.

Currently, I have the ASUS A8N-32SLI mobo with the AMD 64 X2 4400+ CPU, 3 GIG of dual Corsair ram, (2) EVGA 7900GT in SLI mode, (3) 250 GIG SATA and one 500 GIG SATA II drives, SB X-Fi sounds card, and a few other goodies.

Strange sound problem HP Pavilion DV6013EA Laptop

Hello all, I am having a strange sound problem on a HP Pavilion DV6013EA. While using Windows XP no sound comes from the laptops speakers, however sound does come from a pair of headphones. While using Puppy Linux sound comes from the laptops speakers, but not from the headphones.

I am stumped!!! I made a profile including the exe file and the install file and the mounting seem to work fine. However when i clicked to set up, it opened but then when i was asked what if i wanted min or max database it said i didn have enough space for either which was definately not write.

Hi All, I'm having problems getting Windows XP Pro SP1 (The only version of it I have) to boot and go through the setup/restore process. I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS model laptop which I originally configured as a Dual boot Win XP Pro/Red Hat Linux ES, but this has recently been corrupted.

my friend is having me write this. . . she did a recovery on her computer, she uses windows 98sec. she has explorer 6. 0, now she is having a problem getting her computer to re-recognize her modem for her cable hook up internet access.

new USB2 card does not appear in device manager

I have plugged in a new USB2 card to an old gigabyte motherboard (2001) and flashed the bios and got windows right up to date. The device does not appear in the device manager. Does that mean the problem is with the motherboard? What do I check? Thanks.
