I am running a computer with a dual boot of windows 98 and windows 2000. My windows 98 install seems to have gotten corrupted and so I am going to reinstall it. my problem is that I also want to remove my windows 2000 setup.

Anyone else got problems with the Abit BH6 SS bios?

Since i flashed my Bios Win2k has been acting up. Now everything crashes, When it boots up, i get nothing but a Blank screen. In Task manager it shows Rundll at 99% usage. When i close this Windows continues and boots up.

I finally got the new parts I needed to rebuild my Win2k System, and installed on a brand new harddrive. Now, everything is getting fragmented, and my add/remove apps doesn't come up, yet everything else works.

playing *.dat movie files

Hi ! Win2k is unable to play *. dat movie files on VideoCd format from Cd. I had to copy such a file to hard disk and then I can see it. Is it problem of CD recorder software installed ? Plese Help Thanks.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone out there has run across graphic problems while running Combat Mission under Win2k. I get wierd text flickering on the bottom bar, the VCR controls during playback, and the command screen when it is shown.

I remember seeing an ad about a 1 Terabyte storage device or something about putting 7 drives together as a 1 Terabyte. . . if anyone has information on where I can find terabyte storage devices and/or their price.

W2K runs really slowly

I just installed W2K Pro (pristine install) and now the machine is almost unusably slow. As I write this, I'm about five letters ahead of what I see, and I'm not *that* fast of a typist. I try to play a fullscreen mpeg at 1600x1200 and I get about 1 frame/sec.

I've got 2 x DM+40's connected to a Promise U66 (not mod-ed) under a Win2K Pro system. All I need to know is how do I get the HDD's to power down after a certain amount of time? Works fine under W98 but they constantly spin under W2K.

Im running system shock 2 on win2k pro with SP1 installed and when I play with or without EAX enabled, the voices of the computer and email messages come through extremely low. any ideas? I have a SBlive Value running Liveware 3.

just a query, does anyone have this motherboard working in win2k, and have valid temperature reporting functioning in windows 2000? the bios reports the cpu at around 40 ©, in windows it jumps, often wildly, between 30 and 45.

The creative Annihilator2 has two black rows of connectors. Elsa sells a Video In/Out adapter for its geforce which also has the same connector. Think it is possible to use it on the creative card, or are there any other options for Video IN/OUT under 50$?.
