Game runs ok apart from some severe graphical mush when things get busy, only affects mouse cursor and distant trees/horizon where they dont seem to refresh and multiple images of the same seem to remain on screen.

Hello. I have still a big problem with NFS5 on my system. NFS3 and NFS 4 are working great, but I can't play with NFS5. It crashes after the video's introductions, going back to windows. I delete the gimme.

Is there any way to make a program that doesn't run in the systray run in the systray. For instance I like to have Outlook run all the time but I would rather have it in the tray than on the taskbar to free up some space for other ****, is there a way to make this happen? Programs like winamp have this option built ...

The NTcompatible list says that Requiem runs fin under Windows 2000. However, when I install it on my machine I get an error message saying, DirectX 6 or later required. As Windows 2000 has DirectX 7.

In previous nvidia's releases, there was an option under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Nvidia\Corporation\Riva TNT\Display called NoStrechInterpolation. When you set that option to 0, windows would smooth graphics when resizing a windows.

Hi! I can almost only play halflife and starcraft on my nt server, what can I do to make other games work? do I need a new version of direct x? (I already have service pack 6a) or can I use someprogram to emulate win 98? someone who knows?

I just reinstalled the i815e chipset drivers, security patch, and Ultra ATA drivers (thought they might be new versions). . . and it crashed in the middle of it. . . so, fuck I thought. repaired Windows 2000.

Win2k Boot Up Screen Problem

On boot up, the screen shows 2 references to Windows 2000, plus my other OS - Win98. I have Win2k on C, and Win98 on D. I would like to delete one ref to Win2k. I have looked for a boot. ini file, no luck.

Starcraft and Montego A3DXstream sound problem

The sound in starcraft cuts out after a minute of playing time. Just the music remains, no sound effects at all. My sound card is a Montego A3DXstream. I have tried beta drivers but they don't work. Has anyone else had this problem? I emailed Blizzard but they were no help.

how would i make a bootable floppy in Windows2000. i can do it in win9x through different methods, but i can't do it in 2000. i tried using the command format a: /s to make the floppy bootable but windows says the slash is invalid.

Well I was surprised to see that my SCSI card works under Whistler where as it didn't ever work under win2k. I thought that was nice, but my SB live still skips horribly playing mp3s with the coaxial output.

At the moment i dual boot win2k pro and win98se. Becuase, i can't be bothered to wait a couple of mins to shutdown and boot into win98 just to play my games i've installed them under win2k and am trying to play all my games in win2k.

Howdy. . . it's me again. Quick question. I bought a $9 heatsink/fan combo to hold off till I got a golden orb(though thinking about a peltier). Using Asus's PC-Probe 2. 11 or 2. 12, my CPU temp in windows goes from 80, to about 60 degrees(F).

Hi i just upgraded my network from 10 baset T to 100 base Tx using netgear cards and hub. The computer talk to eachother (2 win2k and 1 winme) the only prob is the second win2k machine will talk to the network very slowly.

hmm im not 100% sure bridging is the correct term for what i want to do, but ill desribe. I have a 10 machine coax lan set up, and a 5 port hub with no coax connections. i will have 3 more machines connected to each other via the 5 port hub, and i can put a 2nd nic into my win2k machine which is cat5 based.

I just want to know if anyone has actually used this motherboard with the voltage set at 2. 05,2. 1 or 2. 2. I am only asking because ASUS bent me over when I tried this on a CUV4X. The machine wouldn't go past post and they said they wouldn't fix the bios to make it work.
