Windows 2000 full backup / restore ?

Under Win98 i used a simple method to keep a \Windows and \Program Files backup on the same hard disk so after each new programs installation - fail - crash i could restore the old and clear backups and my system was uptime always.

Hey guys remember that problem with all system tray icons limited to 16 colors? Well, I finally found a fix. . . . . . I applied the patch to my system, and now the winamp icon finally shows full color.

Viper II and Windows 2000

Hi, I have VIA AGP 4X chipset w Viper II on Windows 2000. I have got the latest updates including (via 4 in 1), MS VIA Patch, AMD MS Patch. I cant get AGP 4X working. The jumpers are on for 4x on the video cards but it doesn't work.

Final Fantasy 7 + Windows 2000 = black screen

I read the compatibility notes, and installed the ACT, but it didn't help. When I run the game, I get a black screen, which then changes to a slightly less black screen, and that's it. Any ideas? Thanks.

UT ate my free space?! Help!

ok, i started playing UT, and i had about 350-400 megs of free space. UT froze and i had to restart. now i only have FOUR MEGS FREE! wtf? anybody know what happened? i figured it must've kept some Temp.

Speak French Now! 7 compatibility?

I got Learn To Speak French, which I installed on Windows 2000 with some limited success (I get error reports, and speech recognition doesn't work, but I can learn something). I'm planning to try to coax it a bit more, but I'm also thinking of getting Speak French Now! 7, instead.

Geforce still locking up

Here is the situation: Athlon 600 w/Asus K7M 256 Megs of RAM Elsa Erazor X^2 (Geforce 256 using 6. 34 WHQL) SBLive card running latest drivers Win2k SP1 w/VIA patch installed Computer continues to lockup while doing any 3d applications.

Det 6.47 fixes speed hit under DX8betas

I have been testing the various DX8 betas with all of the leaked Det3 drivers for my Geforce DDR under Win2K. Through various iterations, my 3DMark2000 (directx) scores would be either 2500 or 3300, never anything in between.

OpenGL Drivers... where to find?

AvP, Quake 3 and Soldier of Fortune Demo all don't work on my computer because I don't have OpenGL Drivers with WIn2k Professional. . . anyone have any ideas how to get these drivers/install them???.

In Win 98 I used View desktop as hompage or something to get all the icons to dissapear from my desktop. But I forgot how to do it and in win 2K I don't find the right setting??? Anybody know what to do?.

Guys, After around 10-20 minutes, windows crashes with the following blue screen: IRQL_NOT_LESS_ OR_EQUAL I have tried every option in bios to work. I have got a Geforce 2 MX/Via 2X/Windows 2000.

Open GL in 2000?

Ok i run UT and Q3 great in OpenGl in 2000 Pro, however when i run Homeworld, i can't switch to GL (ANd D3D just plain doesn't show up as an option) Just comes back with a little message saying it was unabel to intilize the display setting.
