I'm trying to install win2k on a supermicro p6dls, but the install hangs during the device detection. Here's what I've done so far: 1) upgraded to latest bios (still old) 2) Set ACPIEnable=0 in txtsetup.

Just upgraded to Diskeeper 6. 0 server ed. Scheduled a boot-time defrag of MFT and directory consolidation. Started the darn thing before bedtime yesterday and it wasn’t finished by this morning, some 8 hours after! Also in win2k “analyse” takes about 4 minutes! Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to use the old file manager in Windows 2000? Failing that, are there any good alternatives? I want to be able to rename multiple files and i don't think it can be done with windows explorer.

Does anyone know whether Beta1 has support built-in for the highpoint controller (on a BE6-II mobo)? In other words, do I need to F6 during setup or will it be automatically detected? I understand that the Promise Ultra66 is automatically detected.

I can't seem to get digital CD audio working with my Pioneer DVD drive under Win98, it worked fine under Win2k and I thought it was a very cool feature but now I'm with Win98 I can't enable it (box is greyed out).

Just thought i'd let people know before they install the drivers and have the game. i'm talking about the new voodoo4/5 drivers released on the 9th november. I have directx8 on now also, but that wasn't teh cause because i had it on before i put on the new drivers and the game still worked fine.

Hi Guys, I have Whistler 2296 Professional. Everything seems fine except the hibernate feature. It hibernates and loads loads the hibernate file and i am back to my desktop but. . . it unplugs my ISA card somehow.

Well Windows 2000 has drivers for this wireless lan card, but it never seems to get rid of the exclamation mark no mater what i have tried. Breezecom only supports NT 4 and has no plans for Win2k support according to tech support.
