Hi Everyone! I'm new here and have a question for you. I'm currently running Windows 2000 sp1. When I run UT it plays fine until I exit, then I get a message saying UT has caused an error while exiting.

After some looking around I found some info concerning a real time dos patch for Windows Me that exists. It allows your computer to reboot into DOS or something like that. Has anybody heard about this patch, and better yet, know where I can get it?.

Just bought a Radeon, but found out its performance (at least in Q3a) sucks compared to Geforce 2 GTS. . . Anyone has any tips for optimizing Radeon in games (the dvd/2d performance is VERY nice, and that's why I bought it).

I have tried every combination of drivers and settings but when playing EQ with DirectX 8 installed I get dark spots where the mouse is moving. Currently using a Geforce 2 DirectX 8 final and Nvidia ref drivers 6.

Anyone know how to manipulate the startup up group environment without editing the registry or using the startup folder in the programs list? Like win98 msconfig. This is driving me crazy. .

I have installed windows 2000 with creative's geforce2 vid card. I have recently installed dx8, creative's w2k dirvers_634(build) with their updated blastor control. The diagnostic panel says that Directdraw and direct3d are not accelerated.

Also how do the Celeron II's run under Win2k Pro? I just installed a Celeron II 566 @ 875 to replace my Celeron 300a @ 450 Celeron II 566@850 on a Abit BH6 Rev 1. 01, 128 Pc100, Matrox G450 32 DH, SBlive Value, Supra Express 56i ISA, Tentatively trying out WinME Final, (leaning back towards Win2k Pro though ).

When you install Millennium, I have it as a dual boot right now. The version number is 4. 90. 3000 Today, I just so happen to open my system properities and to my amazement, it said 4. 90. 3000A A?? DirectX 8 and Refresh Rate/Screen Mode

My viewsonic 790 makes a loud and long delay every time there is drastic screen mode change (say from 100hz 1024. x786 to 60hz 640x480). It was never a problem for me before DirectX8 because i could either use a refresh rate program (Nvresfix) or Dxdiag's override function to set every to 100hz or 85hz.

Lost system resources when download?

Has anyone else seen this problem with the new IE 5. 5 SP1. When I click in IE to download a file, my computer loses most of its resources and slow me to almost a halt. Once the download is complete, then I am back to normal.

Creative DXR3 + other player?

I was finally able to get my DXR3 to work using creative's beta drivers, but while the application works it's pretty crappy (video must have a border, can't make it always on top, etc. ) for watching movies in non-full screen.
