GeForce's conflict with Win2k & AMD

Mechwarrior 4..

Mechwarrior 4 installs fine and then when I run it, it opens up then it goes black then goes back to the desktop or it goes into window mode and sits. I dont hear anything or see anything. My system: Directx 8 (needed for mech4) 6.

IE 5.5 Crashing Like a Mofo in W2K SP1

I have been getting this recurring error message from Internet Explorer recently saying, IEXPLORE. EXE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. I can get it anytime.

Just wondering what the general concensus of SP1 is with you lot. I dl'ed it when it first came out, but I read a lot of bad reports. Now, I feel the time has come for me to install it. From your experiences, is it best to install it straight away afetr an install, or is it ok just to install it over what you have.

Hi, I have an old computer Intel Pentium 200 MMX with a i430TX motherboard. I dont know the manufacturer. Tried to look inside but no go. The bios is American Megatrends. The problem is: When I use both simm and dimm slots of the moterboard windows 2000 crashes on bootup and gives me the erorr ntdll.

Midtown Madness 2 - - Works fine until I actually start play

hey guyz, has anyone got midtown madness 2 to run properly in windows 2000? it runs properly in mine, but when i start playing, it freezes and the framerate drops like to 0! I do not know why this has happened, I also downloaded and installed the new patch.

Setting HD DMA in Win NT

AARGH! How can I set my HD controller to use DMA on my hard disk? I know how to set it in Win9x and in Win2k, but I don't find any way to set it in Win NT. Can someone help me, please? Giorgio.

I just obtained this card and installed it under Win2k. The driver installation went fine (the 3rd time through) and DVD Station installed as well. But, when I try to output an mpeg to the TV, my TV just displays crazy colors.

Setting DMA for drives in W2K

I am new to Windows 2000 and I am hoping someone in this forum can tell me how you turn DMA on for CD-ROM Drives and Hard Drives in Windows 2000. I checked in device manager, but there doesn't seem to be the option like in Windows 9X.

That site. . . personally, not because I like Whistler, it's just overall, that review sucked. I mean, the guy obviously didn't get into the depths of it, saying crap like I'm starting to realize what did Microsoft even add into this thing.
