codename

simple question. . . . what was the codename for win2k? I was explaining to my friends that whistler is just the codename for the next os, and they asked me what win2k's codename was, and I can't for the life of me remember it.

Win2000 cannot detect ME for duel boot

I have ME on C drive on a 13gig. I have D on a 4gig. I put Win2000 in my CD drive which is E. It auto runs, tells asks me if I would like to upgrade to Win2000 since it is newer. If I click no, then I have the option to hit install (for duel boot), then it tells me it cannot detect my current version of Windows.

Question about S-Video

Assuming I have a video card(Voodoo3 3000) with an S-video connector to an RCA cable that is plugged into a television. . . is it possible to boot up w/o a monitor plugged in, and see the screen on the TV? I hope that makes sense.

Viewing Service Logon Informaiton Remotely

We have several services over many servers that use the Administrator account to logon. I need a tool that will let me retrieve service logon information from a remote computer (ServiceConfig. pl in the Win2K Resource Kit works great, but only on the local machine).

I am thinking of getting a nvidia Gforce2 MX for its low price. However, I can't find any driver other than the terrible driver made by nvidia itself. I am using a win2k and I wonder if it is true that I won't find any driver for a nvidia gforce2 mx to run on my win2k.

Please help! Something has gone wrong with the networking setup in my Windows 2000 installation. Whenever I try to use applications that in some way have to use networking or dial-up services, I get various errors and other problems (even opening LAN properties causes Explorer to crash).

i know DDR RAM is faster than SD RAM but is it really worth ur money to buy DDR RAM- just becasue its faster? i heard it is heaps more expensive but little performance improvement. .

Anyway to get this game to run in Win2K Pro SPK1? I have an Athlon 600, 128MB RAM etc. . . When I run it, Windows says it's trying to access the COM ports and kills it. Can I stop it from doing that? Ta, Russell.
