CD & DVD mode settings in BIOS for DMA

I am not sure what to set my Creative 6xDVD or my HP 8200 CD-RW DMA mode in my A7V BIOS. The ATi DVD player is jumpy and the diagnostic says DMA is not enabled, can anyone help? TIA Ned.

I've been noticing a strange behavior from Outlook since I installed Windows 2000. I have the option enabled to send messages immediately when connected to the internet, yet they dont go through until I manual go into Outlook and click the send/recieve button.

just an FYI that i was able to get Castrol Honda Superbike to run in win2k using the IgnoreExceptions. DLL fix in QFIXAPP. dosfreak, maybe you can add this one to your list. i'm currently working on getting Superbike2001 and FIFA2000 to run.

whenevery trying to install anything using a setup. exe program- i get the error message: MSVCRT. DLL for Win32 Error: MSVCRT. DLL is not compatilble with win32s THEN The application failed to initialize properly (0xc)000142).

Hi. . . I am having a problem with win2k and glqw. When i play on the net, it feels like i have major paket loss. . . when in fact i dont. I have like 0-pl and 50ping. . . i dont get it. I know it has something to do with win2k too cause in 98 (which i dont have installed anymore) it doesnt work.

Hey folks, Just wondering if anyone experienced this weird issue that both myself and a friend of mine have discovered. When a Win2000 machine is networked to a Win98 machine, at random times, the Win2000 machine spontaneously reboots.

I just picked up a copy of Tribes, and the ntcompatible list says it works. It installed ok, but when I try to launch it, it crashes back to the desktop with no explanation. I recently installed SP1.

Adaptec EZ CD 4 Ate my Cdrom drive!

I am using a tekram DC-390U3W scsi controler with a plextor 40x scsi cdrom, a plextor 12x scsi CDRW, and a Toshiba 5x scsi DVD, and a Quantum Atlas V 13. 6g drive on it. Everything was fine until i decided to unistal adaptec ezcd creator 4 from my system.

Trashy right click menu ?!

Uninstalled Cute FTP & my Right Click menu still has the option to 'Edit with Cute HTML'. My default HTML editor is another program; how the heck do I delete trash entries from my Right Click menu ?! This reminds me of Adobe GoLive 4's tendency to remain in the right-click menu after uninstallation.
