Logitech gaming devices and Win2k (+SBLive)

Okay I got a SoundBlaster Live! Value and two Logitech devices: Logitech Wingman Extreme and WingMan Force 3D. The WingMan Extreme works if I use the basic win2k drivers (Logitech Device(autodetect)).

I tried to run Need for speed 5 on a Pentium III with 256mb of RAM and an Matrix G400 under win2k. Result: The game never got past the first loading screen (after the intro video). It hangs there, it eat up ALL memory.

Ok i'm not very familiar with nt. But how do you set it so that other users on say (w98) can login to NTBox. I have all my computers in a workgroup but I cant figure out how to get them in a domain. .

Hi all. . . . I don't usually have any problems with Windows 2000. . . but this one is severely bugging me. . . I have a Win98se Laptop and another PC downstairs with Windows ME, as well as my Win2k box.

Using ICS with a Cable Modem

I've just had a Cable Modem installed, and am having problems with sharing the connection. My main machine (full specs in signature) uses the onboard Intel NIC for a LAN connection via a hub. A second 3Com NIC is connected to the Cable Modem.

Hi, I am using Internet Explorer 5. I uninstalled some program that ***ociated jpeg and image files to it. Then when I uninstalled it, it messed it all up and my images dont open in Internet Explorer.

Links2k01 demo no 3d

I tried running link2k01, and it wouldnt go into 3d mode in WinWhistler. The program just gave me a Direct3d error and proceeded to open in software mode. I have a GF2 MX with 6. 47 det drivers. Anyone gotten this game to work in 3d mode in 2k or otherwise?.

Ok, so I have checked the website and asked around and no one can give me a release date for Tribes 2. All I know is that its coming out soon. I am a subscriber to the Tribes 2 newsletter and none of my emails state when the game is going to come out.

I am wondering if Goback by Adaptec is a good program to get? Like if i use it on win98 or windows me. I am wondering because i was reading that it can time travel to a time back when your system was working fine and even recovery from a formated HD which i think its pretty neat.

Ok, I just found this site recently. I was kinda shocked to see that there were hacks you could do to get most games to work in Win2K. But I can't seem to find those hacks. So could someone here point me to some guides on the common tricks to get games to work in 2K?.

games freezing on load in Win2k

Howdy everyone I've recently updated to DX 8. 0 and at the same time, I decided to update to Det 6. 47 drivers as well (using a TNT but I figure I'd do the latest drivers). It wasn't until then that I've started experiencing occasional freezing when I try to play my games.

ICS quotas?

Is it possible to set bandwidth limits on Internet Connection Sharing? My Win2k system is connected to the internet via DSL, with another Win98 system connected via network, using ICS. However, whenever someone is on the other computer, actively using the internet, my internet speed drops to a crawl.
