My SNDBLaster Live Wont Play Wave audio? HELP!

My soundblaster live plays CD's and midi, but it wont play any wave audio. So I have no internal sound! It says no wave devices installed. I used the sounblaster drivers but they didnt work! what the hell is happening! HELP PLEASE! thanxs.

Accessing UNIX remotely

Hi, I want to access my university servers which are linux/unix based. I can use telnet to check my mail and stuff but it deosn't provide support for graphical application such as nedit editor. Is there a program in Windows 2000 that can help me do that or some other programs.

OK, here's something fun and exciting. Go to try Quake3 today, and I get the code down below. I played it two days ago. No new hardware/software. The only thing I've done is set up accounts for my family members on this machine.

Do you mean increase the amount of time you have to make a choice on a dual boot system? If that is the case it set in the startup and recovery section of the advanced tab under the system icon in the control panel for Windows 2k.

I bow to the wisdom of folks who probably have more answers than I could imagine. I have a Win98SE system. I've got a shiny new Geforce2 and an older Voodoo3 card. There will be times when I still want to switch back to the V3.

I'm running a 900MHz Athlon with Win2k and WinMe dual booting. I am getting a random freezeup that I cannot relate to any specific app. It happens in both OS's, and is totally random. In 2K, there is no event written to the log so no help there.

Win2k has automatically installed drivers for this writer and it works to read cd´s in. But when i´m trying to start a burner program, I have tried many different, it just says that I don´t have anyone burner installed.

What defragger are people using for Win2000? Have you found any performance difference between any of them? I've been using Diskeeper 6. 0 but am also considering Raxco's Perfect Disk 2000,O&O Defrag, and Norton Speed Disk.

According to Aver TV Phone is not compatible to Win2000 or NT. Are there any patches, tweaks or work-around so it can be used on W2K? Or there when Whistler is released there will be a driver for 98/ME/2K/NT/Whistle?.
