Pissed off at Thrustmaster!

Seems that a lot of us on the Thrustmaster Tech Support Forum are quite pissed off! I have recently bought the Afterburner (stick/throttle), but many others are having problems with the steering wheels and gamepads.

Can't establish communication (ISDN, Analog)

Hi, I'm running a dual-boot system, NT4 and Win2K. My win2k system was unstable (COM2 disappeared, exclamation marks in control panel) and as a result I lost both my standard modem and my ISDN adapter connectivity.

Took my NT4 box and fragged it, through Mandrake on there. . . fragged that too. Now trying to install Satan itself. FreeBSD If anyone has any experience with this. . . and could relate things in there to comparable aspects of 2K.

Why does Win2000 always put games at 60Mhz refresh rate?

Ok, First off love Windows 2000, but the thing I hate is that all my games now only play at 60mhz refresh rate, which is really bad for the eyes. I have tried the NVmax thing, but that only gets it up to 75mhz, how can I get it up to 85mhz like windows 95, 98 and ME do? And why does windows 2000 do this in the firs ...

To all A7V owners: If things act funny, i. e. you cant boot from cd's, try resetting bios to the defaults. Everything shoud be ok. This saved me from taking back my mobo. .

I mean. . . . . why is everyone so antsy about boot time? 2 minutes? or 1:15? or 0:45? i mean isnt it developed from the NT kernal which is designed for stability meaning. . . . NO NEED TO REBOOT. . .

Whistler 2410, Athlon, and MSI K7Pro

I have a problem after installing Whistler 2410. Using bios version 1. 6, it's running fine, but whistler can't detect my modem and my printer. Up my bios to 1. 8, which said fixing I/O error, my keyboard doesn't work while doing whistler installation.

I have two physically separate hard disks and i want to set up a dedicated page file in a partition of its own on the second disk for Windows 2000 as i have heard that performance is improved by doing this.

Scolling Program Menu..set to off, BUT....

I have a wierd thing happening in win2k pro. I have the Scroll the Program Menu turned off in the advanced options. . . . but it still does scroll them. The thing is, its only showing the files(or programs) i most frequently use.

Icons not arranged in correct order

My desktop icons can't arrange themselves accordingly by name. After the IE shortcut, comes 3dmark, Acrobat reader, fifa 2001 and then quake 3 arena. In the second column (i only have two columns filled), comes quake 3 team arena, then ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, and the rest in order.

raid hd's wont shutdown

Ok. . . . I've set up an array of 2 ata/66 drives set at raid-0. . . . But now these drives dont operate in low lowermode. . . ie when my system goes to standby, these drives dont shutdown. How can i resolve this problem?? I am using an abit hotrod card btw (and i live in CA so i need them to shutoff) -oXide{ p3-70 ...

Shutting down "idle process" in win2k??

Is there any way to disable the idle process in Win2k? I have a AMD Duron, and everyone knows that programs like CPUIdle and so on doesn't work on Durons, so i guess the process in win2k doesn't either, as my idle temp lies around 44C, and my full-load temp is 46C.

Can anyone confirm that A7V + PS2 keyboard will work on 2416? Or alternatively, has anyone got a USB keyboard to work with the A7V and 2410? I'm using a USB mouse, if that makes any difference. .

What is this error and Why am i all of a sudden getting it ?

I have just reformatted and re-installed 2k. I downloaded my drivers ok. But when i tried to install SP1 I get this error about 100 times. Windows - Delayed Write Failed Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\HarddiskVoulume3\temp\ext5064\ (whatever file name).
