Help with FF8 under Win2k

Anyone get FF8 for PC working under Win2k? My copy installs fine, and runs the beginning of the game fine, but it crashes every time when i get to the center of the market square in that first town you have to attack (real early on Disc 1).

Win 2000 goes to a blue screen with a memory dump for no aparent reason any ideas. I thought i read somthing about pageing files? What should they be i have 392 meg of ram with 3 hard drives one is a 30 gig with 3 partitions the second is a 20 gig no partitions and the 3rd is a 9 gig scsi no partition where should ...

Giants Preformance through Win2k

I was wondering what type of preformce people are getting through win2k. With my configuration i only get between 12-18 fps, when i action gets bad i get like 6 fps at full detail at 640x480x16. I was wondering what win98/me get.

Oi, They need to print on the side of the box, PoS. The thing works like a dream in win98 as advertised, and haven't tried it in NT. So, why wouldn't it work in 2k like most things do. ERRRR wrong. Indeed, it works, but the installation is a nightmare.

Mechwarrior 4 pausing a lot, sound probs in Everquest

When I try to play Mechwarrior 4 (and it is MS's own game too!), no matter how low I set the detail, it pauses a lot! This makes it hell to complete missions as you can berly aim at the enemy. Any ideas? Also, I have a lot of loss of sound in Everquest.

I've asked this before but it was awhile ago so perhaps more people have (or at least any) have had this problem. The program loads find and will run for awhile fine but it will always eventually lock up when choosing something from one of the menus.

Hi, I'm running a dual-boot system, NT4 and Win2K. My win2k system was unstable (COM2 disappeared, exclamation marks in control panel) and as a result I lost both my standard modem and my ISDN adapter connectivity.

Ok. . . I have a router. It acts as a DHCP server and hardware firewall. I have ZoneAlarm Pro. . a software firewall. with the router in place. . . what good does Zonealarm do me? My PC is warm. I think our fire wall is acting up.

Running startup applications in order...

I need to be able to run a few applications in a specific order on a Windows NT 4 Workstation. The applications need to fire up after I log in. I was thinking about listing them in a batch file and then putting that batch file into the Startup group.

Seems that a lot of us on the Thrustmaster Tech Support Forum are quite pissed off! I have recently bought the Afterburner (stick/throttle), but many others are having problems with the steering wheels and gamepads.
