Ok, Right now I have a Cayman network router which Pacbell provide. It has a DSL modem built into it, which is cool, this way I don't have a DSL modem as well as a router hanging around. But I hate the way it looks (I know that's pretty lame) but its really ugly and it looks like its from the 1950's or something.

USR Modem Going way 2 slow!

ok i have a USR 3com Message Modem 56k External. in win2k it will read it, install it and connect to the ISP however it wont go beyond 500byte/s and webpages time out. this is the same problem in winME! i have tried win2k's own drivers as recommended by 3com, i have tried NT4 drivers and have tried 3coms win2k drivers.

Philips Acoustic Edge under win2k?

Anyone have experience with using the Philips Acoustic Edge successfully under win2k with a VIA KT133 chipset? I have to upgrade my sound card because my old vortex2 doesn't work at all with my new KT133 board and was thinking of the acoustic edge since all the reviews of it are so good.

weird Win2k Shutdown "problem"

Ok, yesterday I setup my computer with RAID setup using IBM 30 Gig and 45 gig HDs and I reinstalled my Win2k. So everything is fresh. Here is the problem: whenever I shutdown my computer, I get this Win2k message box saying It is now safe to shut down your computer instead of actually shutting down my computer.

MS Trackball Optical SUCKS!! ..or does it?

I have tried a couple of the new MS optical stationary trackball mice and I find that I can not get the control of the pointer like with my old fashioned Logitech Stationary Trackball which uses the old style rubber rollers contacting the ball as opposed to the optical light type mice.
