exchange pw prob

right now i have an exchange server which can be accessed w. telnet to port 25 without login/pw. authentication seems to be turned on i exchange, any ideas? would really appreciate help ms hp doesnt seem to have anything on this (cause its so basic id guess ) cel400@500, v3 2k@170, sb 32, spacew.

Whistler runs choppy

Hi all, I have Whistler Beta 1 , and on the desktop is it runs extremly choppy, when i move my mousepointer over the login screen it goes very chopppy, when i open the startmenu it goes very choppy. I recently tried to run the Infograme-game 'Silver' on my computer running on W2K. The ntcompatible. com site lists the full version a s being compatible with W2K and doesn't list any specifics. Still, the game doesn't run: upon starting it, the cd-player starts to run, I get the 'hourglass' for about three seconds ...

Win2000 hanging up on 3D games

My new computer is a Thunderbird 1ghz on a soyo sy-k7vta viak133 board, 128mb ram, and an OEM 32 GeForce2 mx card. My original system was running ME and I had no problem running games with it. I just switched over to 2000 and now my games are running very choppy and the computer even seems to be running slower.

Help me If I use the default Whistler drivers things work ok. I only get 16 bit, and no games work. If I install any of the 3dfx win2k drivers I get 4bit color and minimum resolution only. Anyone got a fix for this?.

Is there any way to disable this warning. I have a friend with a laptop and win2k and a mem stick with a pcmcia adapter. Every time he pulls out the stick or the card he gets Unsafe removal of device.

Win2k & GForce2 - Minor Video Glitch

Hello All, I have a Dual monitor system using a PCI Guillemot Cougar (TNT2) & a Creative Labs GForce2 Pro as my AGP card. On the GForce, a light redish outline appears on my windows when the contrast is too extreme - ie, a white window with a dark grey window border.

I've tried just about everything except just reinstalling w2k from scratch. I installed SP2 and uninstalled it, updated my VIA chipset drivers, installed IE 6 again and still explorer doesn't display the directory contents.

All of a sudden all my icons use 256 colours in Win2K. The option for 'show icons using all possible colours is checked' and I even downloaded Icon Packager and tried using it to bump up the icon colours, still no luck.

OK heres something that will drive you nuts. . god knows its driving me nuts. I have a DELL Dimension XPS t600r. 256mdsram montegobay 2 sound card diamond viper v770d vid card Hp 9100 8x/4x/4x cdr I install windows 2000 and for no apparent reason it freezes and locks up on me.
