Computer Start Up Error, Please Help

Seems like since I followed TimmyC's registry tweak for my geforce, anytime I turn off my computer now, and start it back up, I get One long beep, and 3 or 4 short beeps (Abit BE6 mb, Geforce 2 mx prophet video card).

Problems w/ Star Wars Racer

I am having a problem getting Racer to work under Windows2000. It installed correctly, but when i go to run the game, it exits and doesn't give me any error messages. I get to the blue bar, and it fills to about 95%.

How do i get rid of 130Mb "hiberfil.sys" - Win2K S

I don't use the Hibernation feature on Windows 2000, and therefore would like to get rid of a the 130MB system file on my C: Drive. How can i do that?? Or are there options to decrease its size? Cheers.

1 minute to load settings

When my computer boots up, at the login screen (Loading personal settings) it use 1 minute to do that. Applying takes like 1sec but the Loading thing takes forever. It didnt do that when the OS was freshly installed, and it didnt do that the first time I tried out XP Any ideas? maybe something to do with sblive?.

I'm building a new system soon and there's one question that's been bothering me. If I have a fan that's running at 40 dba and 2 that are running at 30 dba, does that mean I hear 100 dba of noise, or just 40? The #s are arbitrary, but basically do the volumes add up or does only the loudest one count?.

Installing new Nvidia drivers

Having a little problem installing the latest nvidia drivers, 11. something. I uninstall the default drivers and reboot. Windows automatically reinstalls the default drivers. I try upgrading in properties, and select the dir with the new drivers, it says it hasn't detected any new drivers for it.

Hard Drive Partition Question

I was wondering if it mattered where I placed my hard drive partition when I install Windows XP Beta2. I've read the documentation that came with Partition Magic 6, and it says that alot of OS's want their partition on the primary drive and in the first 2.

AGP Apature Size?

Running Geforce 2 mx, and have my AGP Apature size set at 64 in my bios (BE6 mb). Someone said I should have it at 128. Can someone confirm this, and/or tell me what the difference is, and what Apature size is? Thanks =).

Windows XP beta 2 first time app install?

I have winme on my system now. I am going to install winxp beta 2 on a seperate fat32 partition. When it is installed, how do I go about installing programs that i have already installed in winme? Copy over them? Or do i not need to install the programs, just point to them in windows explorer and run them? Thanks.

Please Help!! I just bought a MSI K7 master yesderday, and after setting up the operating system and everything, I noticed the bios was a bit funny as sometimes when I made changes to it, the bios crashed and would need to be reset.

Whats yours expirience with IBM hard drives?

I bought a 46Gb IBM disk 4 months ago and yesterday it crashed, first i got 40kb bad clusters and like 4 hours later it went off line. I was not suprised that much coz i noticed that 3 of my friends had the same problem with theirs 30Gb, 46Gb like mine and 75Gb drives.
