ERD problem

i have tried using the Emergency Repair Disk but it doesn't work. as when i installed win me onto my system it overwrote the boot menu. so i had to use the win2k boot disks to fix the win2k installation.

Hey All, Just wanted to share my findings with you guys and see what yall think. Saw an earlier post where somebody suggested that those with MX cards use 10. 40 drivers. Well, I have the same problems that he and a few others were experiencing only I have a Guillemot GF DDR-DVI card.

Im wondering if this would do anything to speed me up? In Bios there's a setting for the video memory cache mode and the settings are UC (uncacheable) and USWC (uncacheable, speculative write combining) Does the GF2MX support this feature? The mobo manual says if things arent set right, might not be able to boot up ...

It seems that all of my CD-Roms (including the DVD)can not read a CDRW written in UDFS-actually written with Direct CD. What could be the issue here?In Windows 2k there wasn't such a problem as the CD2UDF support was native-the same i was expecting in XP.

This might be simple solution but I can't figure it. I have NT 2k server and wntnt 4. o wks setup. on the workstation I have a login scripts setup to creat drive mapping from the server. Seems everytime the Wks boot up it try to re-establish the network drive, I hit ESC to bypass it and the script does all the mapping.

Add BEOS on the boot menu?

I have BEOS 5,WinME and Win2k Pro. At the moment i can boot to WinMe and 2k but would like to be able to boot to BEOS which is in E:\BEOS. The only way of doing that at the moment is to use the boot disk but i would like to be able to select it from the menu.

I have this little annoying problem and no one seems to know an answer, maybe someone can help? Iam using beta 2 Yesterday I was organizing my MP3 collection and putting pics(images) on the folders I went to go finish today and for some reason it wont allow me to put pics on the folders when in thumbnail view.

Is it possible to alter, or preferably remove the inbuilt bootup menu that is installed with XP? I use Boot Magic and this now adds a second layer of booting options to this. . . and it's defaulted to XP, not what i want.

good pagefile size for 256mb ram?

whats a good size for your pagefile in Win2k to be if you have 256mb PC100 SDRAM? my computer seems to think all the time with Win2k installed, but it doesn't do it hardly at all in 98. . . i think its the pagefile being written to constantly.

so far had no luck getting these two games work on win2k pro. Plus nascar revolution i cant even get working on my win98SE lol thats so sad. Sim ThemePark still works i think. i own a voodoo 3 2000 pci video card right now but soon getting a new video card which will be a geforce video card.
