Heat temp screwy?

Okay, Im trying to figure this one out here. Ive got a Global Win FOP 38 and hooked up to the PSU. The thing is my mobo says its got around 41C/113F at idle, and it has hit as high as 123F/51C at high.

I'm retiring my PIII 500 and upgrading to a new Athlon 1. 33 system. I know the best way to go w/ a new cpu/mb/ram is to reinstall everything from scratch. win2k ftp uploads?

Is there a way I can set a login and password on the built in ftp for 2k, so that it will allow uploads from that individual? Thanks. .

High Heat 2001

Once I upgraded to win2k I could no longer play High Heat 2001. It doesn't list windows 2000 as an eligible platform (windows 95/98). It installs and tells me that it probably wont work but I continue anyway.

I setup a network in my room consisting of 2 win2k machines. They are both using tcp/ip, both have netbios enabled, and both are on the same workgroup. . . They use to work just fine. SystemA could see SystemB just fine, and vice-versa.

Hello, currently I have 2 computers and 1 monitor. What do you guys suggest I get to share a monitor to two computers. I also have 2 keyboards and 2 mice. I bought a Linksys Switch box that can do what I need but the problem is it lags my keyboard.

my friend had installed counter-strike on a freshly clean installed installation of winme and after the loading part of the game, CS crashes. does anyone else have this problem - he has the retail version of CS.

Server questions

1) I have a pentium pro 200 machine with 98mb of RAM that I want to use as a server in my network. My network is a connected by a switch. I have 4 computers plus the server. The server should act as a internet gateway for the network and is equiped with two networkcards.

In looking on the web, I see SafeDisc is a copy protection mechanism and depending on the version on the CD, may or may not be compatible with W2K, any ideas on how to get the game to work ...

Hi, I am looking for a program like Norton Virtual Drive, but this one does not work under Windows 2000. Does anybody know a program that makes cd images on harddrive that works under Windows 2000 or NT.
