HP ScanJet 3200C problem with Windows 2000

(I posted this message to comp. periphs. scanners news group a few days ago and did not receive any encouraging responses) I downloaded the HP PrecisionScan LT 2. 0 software released April 6, 2001, from the HP Web site which states that the software works under Windows 2000 and Windows ME and installed it.

Just wondering if 2k is finally up to spec to 9x in terms of FPS and 3dmarks, ive heard it is not but i would like to see just by how much. Anyone know where some links to comparasions are?? Not like im going back to a 9x OS after using whistler this long i just couldnt.

I am attempting to use my cable modem on 2 PC's. (have 1 cable modem ofcourse) 1 Win98 & 1 W2K. I'm sure this has been a topic before but can someone point me to a good site for an easy step by step process.

May i start my rant in regards to Serious Sam: I installed it, and it ran really badly on my rig. (Which gets 50-60fps in CS) I turned all the texture detail, resolution etc down, and it still ran badly.

NHL 2001 on Windows 2000 Machine

I need help!!!!!! I upgraded to Windows 2000 and NHL 2001 won't work. I read through the NT Compatible site and found that you can make NHL 2001 work for Win2K. I have installed DirectX 8. 0 fine. When I then start the game the following message comes up: Abort Message You do not have DirectX 7.

Hello I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I was trying to talk to my friend using microsoft messanger and was told that my voice sounded like i was talking in a tunnel, It had a echo to it, and was difficult to understand.

half-life + win2k sp1 problem

This is a very odd problem that I can't seem to find ANY help on anywhere else. . . Before installing SP1 Half-Life / Counter-strike ran fine no problems whatsoever. . . after installing sp1 i have very very wierd problems its almost as if i lag for a few seconds but i dont actually lag.

Starcraft Mult. play thru Router

I'm having a problem getting Starcraft to connect to battle. net thru my Linksys BEFSR41 V. 2 router which set up to share my cable modem connection between my Win2k machine and my Win98 machine. With the Win2k computer, everything runs great and Starcraft works without a hitch.

OK, I'm working on a pricelist for a friend's company in Excel. The standard pricing method is Op*2=x, and Fp~x. 95, where Op=Original price and Fp=Final price. So if: Op = $6. 00 Fp = $12. 95 OR Op = $6.

How do I set up VNC to run on Windows 2000 I want to access my Windows 2k Pro machine with my windows 2k Server Machine. it will connect; then ask for my password; then it will say connection closed do i need to set up trusts of some sort.

Making a bootable cd for W2K

Using the FAQ here, I want to make a W2K install CD, that already has SP1 integrated. That part was easy, but now, I cant figure how to burn the updated CD, and have it bootable like my original. Using Win9X bootable files does not work.

Not a valid Win32 Application

Hi Guys, I have a game called Brian Lara Cricket. It works perfectly in Windows 98 though in Windows 2000 It gives me the error Not a Valid Win32 Application I have tried Whistler Compatibility Toolkit and everything else but could not get rid of the annoying message.
