I recently installed the latest VIA IDE driver for Win2k, and now have some problems with Hibernate. Unlike some of the people who use Win2k at home, I don't leave my PC on all the time, prefering to use Hibernate to maintain whatever I was doing on my machine.

Has anyone else noticed in the latest build of WinXP/IE that when ever Microsoft it displays crap about MS like a link to thier page, stock info and lots of other crap. Now it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't point out this feature but it puts an annoying purple dotted line under that word.

Anyone know of any disk defraggers that work in XP?? Diskeeper doesnt, Speed disk doesnt. Those are the only 2 ive heard of and seen that are relatively good. .

I am looking for a utility that I can use to view and kill (including force if necessary) processes on remote NT/2K boxes. I have the process browser from the NT Server Resource Kit, but it doesn't allow for the killing of remote processes.

ok file this in the dumbass dept, but i wanted to install NEROs drive imager to see what it does. when i did it told me to reboot. when i did i no longer had use of my dvd drive and my cd burner, both on the secondary IDE channel.

Having decided to install W2k Professional I was suprised to see that after installing none of my hardware settings will save after a reboot/shutdown. If I try changing mys screen res, or install printer drivers etc.

Hi, I just set up a Linksys BEFSR41 V. 2 Router to share my cable modem connection between my Win2k machine and my Win98 machine. I have it set and it works great, I can access the internet thru both computers at the same time.

When I right click a folder or a partition, and click properties. . . . . . absolutely nothing happens !!! Just by installing SP2, how about that. Properties on files work OK. Well, I have no clue how to fix this.

I just installed WinXP 2465 over win2k pro and I wen't to play diablo2 and it gets past the intro movies and its just black even after changing my drivers for my gts2 to 11. 01 then 12. 00 still doesnt seem to work.

I just installed win2k to dual-boot with win98se. System: Abit BF6/Celeron 300A/256MB PC133/Maxtor 30MB/Quantum 9. 1 SBlive and Real3D Starfighter PCI 16MBThis video card works great with Win98 but they quit making it and I can't find any drivers for the PCI version in Windows 2000.
