Yes People. . . . As before with the release of Service Pack 1, BlackIce Defender (2. 5ch) is broken under installation of Service Pack 2. I've just got a Filter Failed message with a 0. 0. 0. 0 ip address.

Ok does SP2 finally fix the problem with using win2000 to play games at only 60hz refresh rate???? I mean can you finally play your games at 85hz and above without applying any outside fixes? That's the only thing that stops me from using win 2000, because all my games only play in 60hz, and its really bad on the eyes.

Im amazed how something will work properly in one build and then a new one comes out and stuff gets messed up. For me Diablo 2 worked fine in build 2463, then I did a clean install of build 2465 and now I cant get past an error msg telling me that it cannot find my cd even though its in the drive.

...if the new SP2 explorer.exe can be modified to allow 256 colours in the system tray? I know that there was a modified version released very soon after SP1, which stopped icons in the system tray being displayed in 16 colours. I know its not that important, but I can't stand seeing the icons that way Homer

Working with W2K, Dell Optiplex GX200. After taking the cover off(and seating back properly), during boot-up process the message: ALERT! Cover Previously Removed is displayed for several seconds. Does anyone know how to ELIMINATE this message? P.

Hi, I have Windows 2000 professional and DirectX8 with a geforce 2 gts and 256mb ram, 1ghz. . etc. . And I can't run JediKnight. . I don't get it. . when I try to load a level it says Could not load level and when I try to load the 3d multiplayer games.

here is a problem i have know idea why it occurs,when i'm in outlook express and i click on a link in a e-mail the window opens starts to load the page and then dissapears. now here is the kicker,if i open internet explorer and then click on the link the window stays open and loads.

OK. . . . . im gonna paint this out. . . almost ready to throw computer out. Running windows 2000 pro with all the newest updates, checked for viruses, checked surface of hard drives, did not install anything for like 2 weeks, cept the newest det drivers.

I have been at this since I installed Win2K. I have applied all service patches. And have the newest drives for SoundBlaster Live Gamer. What is happening? After a while of playing games my sound in the games starts to crackle really bad and loud.

I keep trying to install my drivers and it won't work, I had it working a long time ago but I forgot how to get it to work, lol. . . Could somebody help me out with this, its kinda dumb that I can't just use my freakin driver cd.

Hey everyone. this is a simple question. i just installed service pack 2. i noticed that there is a directory in my windows directory called service pack files. is it safe to delete all the contents of this directory? it'd be nice if they could be deleted cause that would give me about 150 megs back -syed.

Found out how to fix Hidden & Dangerous sound!

Hey guys, I found out how to fix the audio skipping in Hidden & Dangerous in Windows 2000. If you get sound skipping, go to C:\Program Files\directx\ and click DxDiag. Go to the sound tab and drag the slider from FULL ACCELERATION to either Basic or No Acceleration and you will no longer get skipping.
